Just with Andy Cook for a minute, lad gets his nose broken but more than up for coming back on. No theatrics, no rolling around like you've been shot. He might be limited technically but I want this lad starting every week.

It's how we back this draw up. Get a win off the back of it and it's a really good point. I'll take a few tear inducing boring draws if it helps us get promoted. If we are still in this god forsaken division next season off the back of this team of limited creativity then I'll have to question if we have the right manager.

And scores goals, something we desperately need.

I also want to hear the end of the fallacy "he brings nothing else" or "the team play better without him".

He does and we don't. That's clear to see if you're actually paying attention in games.

He didn't make contact with his lead leg, that picture is misleading.

Plus, Hippolyte was an arsehole all game, constantly in the refs ear and throwing himself over at the slightest opportunity.

We've also got a player with a broken nose from an elbow. Has he posted a still of that clip?

    Correct
It’s always the case when pictures like this are used in isolation.
Ref thought yellow and right in front of linesman.
    That’s all that matters.

Let's get this correct. If you don't criticise a manager who's in the middle of just his second transfer window, then you're a "happy clapper"?

Just so I know my place.

And this is a point I have made on another platform - Stockport also had only one shot on target, so whether in-form or out-of-form a team is, its what matters on the night. That is what make this god-awful division so unpredictable

Apart from a 15/20 min spell at the start of the second half, Stockport looked pretty average, which makes it all the more frustrating that we are so toothless. MH benching our top scorer for so many games is also fairly unforgivable. I know what Oliver brings to the team, doing the donkey work etc, but i'd much rather have persevered with Cook given the form he was in

I couldn't give a shiny shite what else he brings, he provides goals and that's what we lack. Show me another team in this division who would leave a 26 goal striker on the bench. Cos I'm saying it wouldn't hapoen.

Yes agree Dave. Time will tell. I couldn’t have summed it up much better tbh. Derbyshire surprised me in the little cameo. My main concern is Costello of all the incomers. He looks lost?

In isolation, yes it does. And our league position is credible, if slightly underwhelming - though it leaves us in contention. The worry is, when you look at our performances as whole this season, we've not really gotten out of second gear, we lack an attacking threat and don't look to be building momentum. Our main attacking spark in Tyriek Wright has gone, and we're rapidly getting to a point whereby excuses around injuries, squad changes, 'our position ain't bad' etc, need to give way to better performances with greater attacking threat. Many teams find real form and momentum after January - that may well happen with us, but that's based on hope rather than anything we've really seen so far. Based on the 'eye test', I don't see much to give real confidence that we're going to ignite and really kick on. In fact, I think the signs point the other way. We need our new signings to show more than they have in early glimpses, we need others who've been inconsistent to come back in and find consistency, and I'd say we need to bring in real creativity and pace into the squad in the remaining period of the transfer window.

In short, its a case of hoping really than having any basis to believe that we'll kick on. And top 3 should have been - and should still be, the target, given the pedigree of manager we have and backing he's been given.

As odd as your post is, i'll still bite

I used the term Happy Clapper in the broader sense, in that it describes a person who will not accept criticism of a poor display for example, or rubbish tactics, even when they are in a minority of 1

You have totally misconstrued my post, clearly looking for an argument that isn't really there. But if that is how you like to pass your time, knock yourself out

I tell you what if we had put on a sparkling display had plenty of shots and entertained and lost the criticism would be greater this morning.
It’s about results this point could be a very good one at the end of the season.

It's laughable, but not really, imagine we scrape through the play offs, unlikely I know, then next season we have to face the giants that are Morecambe, Accrington and Fleetwood....we've no chance

Yellow for me, side on and came at him from a distance, he was never going to injure and endanger the opponent. That said it was a late and poor challenge.

Their player was pathetic all night so I’m not surprised he’s squealing on social media about it.

Correct. We have to be looking to getting 10 points out of the next 4 matches. Minimum, 8.

Hughes's decision was both harsh and brave - because there is a chance it will come back to bite him.

But it was quite astonishing to see how Foulds was just not as effective without Wright in front of him.

And certainly, if we're playing the diamond or even 4-3-3 - the full backs have to be comfortable and good at charging up and down the flanks. In fairness, they have a thankless task.

I was more please with this point than the win against Salford. It's now the second match on the trot where we seem to be a bit meaner and cynical. All attributes needed from any team, that's trying to win promotion.

Haha the lad who spent 90 minutes impersonating a demented chicken, throwing his hands up in the air whenever anyone went near him. Pathetic at times.
