Just remember to take a breath! I really hope your enthusiasm is rewarded because Hughes, our scatter gun recruitment, stodgy playing style etc are starting to worry me. A lot of the initial bond MH formed with the fans is teetering on the brink - we just need this one complete performance Hughes has been promising is coming (since last autumn) to raise the spirits and renew the belief (obviously you already have this! )

 

We've no choice. We can't keep having these grave doubts every late January . We need to give Hughes as much time as Parky had, i.e. at least three transfer windows.

I think we rightly expect entertaining footie and then get very miffed when we don't get it. But as lots of us know - you don't get that in D4. The entertaining Salford match was a one every ten match occurrence, i.e. Orient v Stevenage and even Salford v Northampton, which I watched on Sky, were borefests in comparison.

I'd suggest anyone moaning about out style needs to go and watch Northampton or Stevenage - but their fans will tolerate a bad spell playing that way. We and rightly so, because we have a higher paying supporter base, don't.

I really think we underestimated what a miss Walker has been. I reckon he's our equivalent of De Bruyne. We'll see if this is true in the next few matches!!

Let's hope it's sooner than later Banks and Osadebe all fit by the end of February, with Walker counting to 10 before taking out an opposition player whilst on a yellow.

 

Parkinson got it right in two transfer windows as he only had 3 days of his first one left when he arrived. By the time his 3rd opened, we were already in the League cup semi final.

 

The loan market was always open to Parkinson though and he used to pick up a few loan players after the window shut. He picked up a few duffers as well in his loan signings. They then stopped allowing loans outside the window about 5 years ago.
