In your opinion it may have been achieved earlier with different people in the job well never know, I bet Ryan thought the same with regards this season being a sucsess when he appointed Adams.

I'm pleased that my past protection of dodgy players (who lets face it now look like world beaters, in comparison to what we have) is bringing some much light hearted relief.

I do still feel that for a month or so back in January / February 2014 - Bates's experience proved vital. As Jones said, we simply had a bunch of players, although not playing well, rolled their sleeves up.

Evans won’t get the job on football grounds alone, not a snowball in hells chance. I’m not worrying about him now. After rocking up at Oldham trying to get noticed and his Bradford City love fest in the T&A ..he’s bloody desperate ! We will stay clear, Sparky isn’t dumb !

 

In fairness there weren’t many dissenting voices. We all, mostly, thought he was the right man!

One thing Dave and I don't know the answer. Adams has brought in players who supporters already knew were dross. Has his hand been forced on shopping in pound shop? If this is the case, anyone coming in will have the same problem. When you think back to Evans' tenure at Rotherham, he went through 4 squads in 2 seasons so that should rule him out.

 

I was trying to find out if he was there on invitation of the club, I don't think he was but no ones letting on.

 

Speaking with @Rogered Tart last night and we were saying it's a good job we had points in the bag, then he pointed out teams around us had 2/3 games in hand, Harrogate win they go above us, then come Mansfield the form team of the division at the moment I believe, our league position could be very worrying come 5pm Saturday evening

Your correct I think most at the time of Adams appointment were happy with it.

 

Never mind we've got away specialist Swindon, the following Saturday

 

I came away from the City Ground convinced we were going up. We were the better team against a Forest side containing some internationals.

It's all gone down hill since then!

 

Same when we left Field Mill after Cooks late winner.

I think half a dozen points less and it would be a real worry Bronco but I think there is enough there to be safe. There are a couple of clubs with three games in hand, they’re not winning them all thought that’s why they’re below us. Having said that I can’t see City getting too many points out of the next four fixtures, Harrogate, Mansfield, Swindon and FGR.

 

Of course that’s my opinion it’s a forum. But again we haven’t got one thing right in years football wise

It didn’t take Bolton 5 years did it? Not going to take Tranmere 5 years.

What @wetherbywhaler said was shite! This club is a mess with one of the worst owners in the football league.

 

Just waiting for Ryan to walk out again saying 'surprise' just like with Adams, showing us that he really hasn't got a clue.

 

I think most fans including yourself thought that Adams would be the right choice it just didn't work out
