Anton has only ever done sports science and also fitness & conditioning.

it makes sense to have Drury in charge, he has his UEFA A license, and has been a coach since 2015.

I get that, but McElhone is assistant manager, and as far as I am aware Drury has done nothing to demonstrate he is a good coach. I though maybe McElhone is being protected from any ensuing shitstorm so he has a future here

I'd be surprised if he wants a future here tbh.

Why do you have to be so abrasive? It was a honest question from me not a statement of fact or an attack on what you said. Robbie Fowler coaches at the Liverpool academy but it's an informal arrangement and his last official involvement with a club was back in 2013. Whereas Paul Scholes has been involved a lot more recently at Man Utd as a first team coach and involved with Salford. So my comment still stands, are his contacts still relevant and up to date? plus Lets be fair the reputations of Scholes and Fowler are like chalk and cheese but that may be unfair to judge their ability of a coach

Clubs crying out for structure. You bring in Parky, you get Steve Parkin, Lee Butler and Nick Allenby to boot. Similar under McCall with Kenny Black, extending up to Greg Abbott. Needs considering when appointing new manager.

With respect to Jones, Fowler, Blake etc who comes in to support them?

I'm still interested where McElhone fits into the picture. It seemed obvious that when he arrived he had a big effect on the players fitness. I wonder if the club are hoping to retain him, if not as assistant manager then maybe as fitness coach. Having said that it would be a bit of a demotion so he might not be keen.

They know more in the game than what Parky would know.

Dam some of you really need to get out of the safe bubble you're in.

Barton, Gerrard, Lampard seem to coping just fine.

It's post like this in which I hope Bradford City have some balls - we're not a charity! No bloody people's club.. gets you nowhere that mentality

Agree with you here but think we have been a charity for the last year at least.

Robbie Fowler and his team sounds interesting but I don't think they will be interested in living off peanuts.

    Better than us.

Scholes is clearly for the future. Long term plan.

Think we need a plan that's why I would seriously look at a Warnock or a Fowler a Flynn or an Evans.

We need a manager with lower league experience, who can work on the inevitable shoestring budget. Can find good cheap players and decent loans because that is going to needed. And then motivate and punch above their weight as Parky did for five years

I think you might have missed out a "no" there. Let me add it:

    No!

For all the reasons mentioned by other nay-sayers throughout this thread.

Fowler is a property tycoon and absolutely loaded so I'm guessing money may not be the deciding factor in him being interested (if indeed he is).
