Thats a good (and tough) question Park. I know Fordy favours Evans but I have concerns his appointment would not galvanise the club (which I think is essential right now), and before he responds saying results will solve this issue I'm also not sure he is more likely to achieve this than the other options. As I said I dont think one leaps out - I have a sneaking feeling for Paul Hurst as I think there will be a hunger to get back to his 'higher stock' he attained at Shrewsbury after his disappointment at Ipswich. Flynn would probably be a popular appointment but could he replicate the 'small club' bond he has developed at Newport? Bowyer is perhaps a good safe choice because of the job he did in very difficult circumstances with Blackpool but not sure if he would be the most inspirational option. Parky is obviously still tied up with Bolton but also not sure him coming back to the scene of his 'previous glories' is right - there would be an expectation he could do it again and I have my doubts. I think there will also be another option that comes to the fore - but I am sure club will be very wary of anyone without some proven track record.
I am not sure if I have answered your question as you would have wanted (having read it back I think I should probably become a politician! ;))

Your right it is going to be a difficult decision. I would rule out Evans straight away for all the reasons I and others have already aired.
Hurst did a great job at Shrewsbury and a reasonable one at other clubs but flopped at Ipswich. Bowyer did a good at a basket case club until he walked out for whatever reason. He will have to put up with a lot here. Without doubt if it was possible Parky would be my choice but he won’t come back. Maybe there is another good choice out there somewhere. But one thing I am certain about is I hope it’s a permanent appointment not another temporary fix

Hurst failed at Ipswich, but they are still in all kinds of trouble without him. Not sure we should hold that against him unless the players he recruited are the problem. Difficult decision to balance our need to be in this league and our long term ambitions in either league.

He might come back if it goes pear shaped at Bolton due to takeover (Rahic as new buyer would seal his return as he would know we're the one club he won't be seen at again) but if he became available, other clubs might be interested, so no guarantee he would come back to us.

Well out of the names so far Paul Hurst seems head and shoulders over the rest,

Trevor, correct me if I’m wrong. Is Paul Hurst not a one season, one club wonder? It did well one season at Shrewsbury.

He took over Shrewsbury with them bottom of the league and managed to save them from relegation, He previously won promotion as manager of Grimsby taking them back in to league 2, He has a win percentage in all games of 49% much higher than the rest of the candidates who average around 36%

I wouldn't complain if it was Hurst but it all depends on the the vision of the club!

Let's put it this way.. Bradford City are in this mess because of Bradford City!

I could be wrong but it's been this- Parky, McCall, Grayson, Collins, Hopkin.

So we went from Hoof ball, to attacking football, to dreadful football, to shi&e football to Clueless football.

Like Brentford, Liverpool, City, Swansea(until last year) Wolves, Norwich - the board need to have a vision of where they want to be and the style of play.

You're all ruling out manager with out them having an interview.

Look at Lee Johnson, he has a footballing identity and now linked to the Fulham job.

Bowyer for me is just a manager and brings nothing different. We don't need safe, we need a plan.

The reasons above is why I would seriously consider a Stephen Warnock, a Gary Jones. A Fowler, A Kewell e.g. An ex player because the board need telling now @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler might blast me again but it's true.

Too many fans buying cheap as season tickets then trying to control the club. No! Do one and let the board do the process correctly.

Hurst, I rate but is he a one season wonder? Wouldn't know until the interview. Flynn, maybe but I don't know his footballing identity.

Evans doesn't bother me at all as I want the best man for the job and some of you need to move on in life.Get over yourselves!

Appleton maybe as he will bring things too be table.

50 applications but sure more on its way. I could do it and I wouldn't care if you liked me or not!

The Bradford City Charity, People Club shi&e needs to stop. It's getting us nowhere fast!

@Park bantam@Park bantam sat in Plymouth playing the boring safe card all the time.. Nah f@ck that. Have some spice in your life!

Shefki Kuqi is offering something different but maybe too much of a risk

Mate, he could well be worth that risk. If the board feel he is worth an interview then so be it.

However, this Bowyer because what he did at Blackpool needs to stop. What does he really bring?

I don't care about Blackpool and I don't want a manager just because he dealt with sh%te it the past. He isn't a carehome worker!

I would like to think Bradford City offers more than Blackpool and we will MOVE FORWARD!

I just hope, that like me, the board haven't given up on this season. I know its a tough, tough ask, but I hope we make an appointment with the best chance of keeping us up rather than getting us out of div 2. I have no idea who that appointment is though.
