It's not like they've fallen off the face of the earth after having their BS called out.

My post was in response to the post saying someone had come forward. That being the WAGMI jokers, the fact that they have simply vanished says it all about how serious they were.

This guff that nobody wants to buy us, just won't wash any more.

It is garbage. Rupp wants a ridiculous price and is happy taking his cut in the meantime.

 

I just think as fans we are deluded. Who exactly is going to buy the club, even if Rupp would sell at a knock down price?
Are people expecting a City fan “done good” to take the reigns? If so who?
One of the nicest blokes I ever met was Dave Simpson, 100% Bradford, would have done anything to improve the club, just didn’t have the funds.
Mark Lawn, never met him, but park his reputation, proper fan but just couldn’t fund a championship team.
Jack T, massive fan, but was never going to risk his family business so ran the club on a commercial footing (sound familiar)
Stafford H, local business man, ego bigger than his pockets!
Rhodes family- marmite but financed the premier league dream.
Geoffrey, the BFG, absolute arse, complete barn pot, made ER look like a balanced individual, no allegiance to City, good as long as he could spend the Rhodes family cash
In summary I’ve been watching City since 1985, and apart from the BFG days we have never had a chairman with money to burn. thats 37 years of having a chairman who either can’t or won’t spend money.
why are people so anti-Rupp??his PR team are a disaster!

Well if someone wants to buy the club come up with the money then

 

We never hear about it because of NDA's.

How many bids do you think Rupp has turned down?

 

We heard about the crypto people by the sound of it money wasn’t the problem. There are ways of alerting people of a bid being made. I bet there are a few time wasters about like Paladini who when it came down to it didn’t have the money

 

I hate this idea that just because we’ve been a tinpot club in the past we should forever be tinpot going forward.

where’s your ambition?? The idea that we should just be happy to have a club to support at all these days doesn’t wash with me. I can’t keep buying into mediocre every year.

its just hard to get that vision, ambition and drive from the top when all the owner wants to drive is sports cars in Germany.

 

I'm sure there are time wasters. I'm sure there are others who aren't timewasters.

 

Another post with the diagnosis but no cure. The club at the moment is being run on spend what it brings in basis for that to change it needs an owner/owners who can pay the asking price and be willing to spend money it’s highly unlikely ever to get back. I personally wanted someone like that as owners since 1958 and as yet it hasn’t happened if there is anybody out there who is willing to do that they should put up. The club will eventually be sold on and is highly likely to be run on a similar basis as it is at the moment with obviously more hand on approach but the same problems

 

Let’s see what happens then I won’t hold my breath
