It's nothing more simpler than actions speak louder than words. Actions that should have happened a long long time ago

 

I can put money on that if season ticket sales dont shift over the next 2/3 weeks then another statement will be put out there with more false hope

 

Hogwash. GA has said he met Rupp for the first time the Friday before the Mansfield game and they and Sparks had a meeting about next year's budget. Which begs the question why Sparks didn't bring up his concerns about the budget there and then rather than hopping on a plan to Germany this week.

 

The biggest issue isn't how much money is being spent on the team, it's how it is spent.

Sparks has wasted money sacking managers and giving multi year contracts to dross that Gent has brought in.

Stevenage don't pay the wages we do. They can't otherwise they would be breaching the football league rules regarding spending.

At this moment in time nothing has changed, the clowns handing out the money in contract and pay offs, are still the ones doing this.

God knows how much we have paid for a handful of appearances for Matt Derbyshire in the last two years. I mean that's a sackable offense on it's own.

Stefan seems to think these feelings built up very recently

You do realise that we are 17th and teams in the form we are in tend to carry it into the next season.

Years down the line we stand 17th a fan base completely pissed off and guess what ???,
Rupp has been at the heart of that carnage by allowing Rahic and now Sparks to damage all rhe hard work that was achieved from 2012 to 2017.

Nope, those running the club are doing that. It’s a businesses responsibility to attract and retain customers not the other way around. If your supermarket would only provide you with out of date food, you’d move elsewhere. This isn’t a charity and shouldn’t be run just relying on goodwill.

 

Are you ignorant on purpose? There's been numerous people wanting to buy us. There was 3 with bids when these bought us. Sparks has said there's been 3 in his reign and Rupp just said today..

like most owners in the EFL, would and will continue to consider offers from potential buyers who could take Bradford City further than I can..

Like most with your train of thought you are ignorant and blind to the reality of modern football.

 

So Rupp told a fan a load of normally confidential stuff over the directors box wall and also spoke to another fan at Halifax Tesco but didn’t have time to speak to Sparks.

I’m convinced.

 

Fortunately it's only the same few and my comment applies to them.
When I hear fellow posters telling me what to do with my brass I'm more inclined to do the opposite, at my age I think I'm quite capable of making my own calls even thought I may not be doing bit for reasons I've done in the past.
Difficult call I cant denied that and unfortunately shows how our fan base is delivided, I would not expect anything to changed after Rupps latest statement, very little substance in it, in fact as yourself and others have pointed out one paragraph could have been " copies and pasted" from the statement he made after sacking Rahic back in 2018.

 

Obviously no credible offers have came in during Rupp tenure, otherwise he would have sold the club.
And thank feck he didn't sell to wagmi!

And yes, I will continue to fund the club during rupp and Sparks tenure home and away for along as they're here.

I am going to bring the heavens down on me, but I can't see how you or others are getting to the conclusion that Rupp has not promised anything. He has, although has not included what some on here wanted ( a sacking); but he will be judged, publicly and with some brevity, by what he has committed to in his statement.

I share all the concerns about the Club, but I am now at least assured that the Rupp will intervene financially next season, and RS is looking for help in the football dept.

Take it as a compliment that I have responded to your post, to vent my unpopular view.

 

Credible offers in Rupps opinion are very different to credible/informed offers from interested parties
Not knowing enough about Wagmi so would be unfair to comment
Mr Rupp needs to get real on his valuation he expects to make a profit on his investment which in reality is worth a fraction what he paid for it mainly down to his lack of interest, terrible decision making, poor initial due diligence (it's a long list)
IF he does as he says he is going to do and provide further investment (which won't add value) then his price/valuation will only increase and the gap between valuations will widen unless he changes the whole ethos of the club he is wasting his money the club needs a root and branch overhaul to survive
No doubt he is a very astute business man his portfolio backs it up but deary me he has dropped the ball with us
Time to cut your loses Mr Rupp and let the "long suffering" fans have their club and respect back

 

That's another part of his statement that makes little sense, he says he has recently put money into the club (I believe denied by Ryan in the Radio Leeds get together) as he has in the past were given to believe yet we hear the wants his brass back.
Surely loosing money going forward is going to be more difficult to get a return on with that sort of financial management running a sustainable club adding bits here and there when needed, workout how much you've lost and what you could lose over several seasons and what sort of return you might get on it's sale.
I'd think the longer he keeps funding the club going forward without any success on the pitch will only add to his money problems with regards selling.

 

The thing is with the right team in place and a little bit of money down he could get the price he wants for it which i dont understand.

 

Fair play Sir/Madam for being brave enough to post a positive thought. It’s not easy to offer a different opinion at this moment. I myself have been thoroughly depressed of late with all things BCFC.
I am seriously worried about our club. But today I feel there is a glimmer of hope that change could happen. It may not but it may. If this is the start of change then it’s way over due. As I await news of what the change and actions are, I admit to feeling an ounce more positive today than yesterday.
It must happen.
