Sorry but the City board have to take responsibility for Jan transfer shambles and I hope the board are looking at ways to change.

In the statement it says more appointments(hopefully not any ex City staff) to me made and I hope its footballing men coming in.

Now, it seems that the board clearly we're happy to sign them cheques off when really it should of been refused and asked why you want more midfield/AM players and after resigning Payne for more money these transfers seem totally pointless.

At Man City & Liverpool the managers don't make the decision solely. They've a transfer community and they discuss what's required with the manager having the last say. Managers need backing in the right ways.

Hoping @Glenn Ackroyd will confirm things like this are being looked at because we can't get away that the mess in Jan was the final nail that sent this club down.

We've lost our football identity (even Drury said this) and we need to get it back ASAP.

Bradford City needs a blueprint to get back to where it should be.

Rhodes has come in as a massive favour for Rupp, Stefan would have had to take on the role or employ someone to do so. I'm not Rhodes biggest fan but on this occasion there is no blame whatsoever.

 

The owners/board can not win.

They get involved in transfers via a committee and fans slate them and say the manager should do it all. Then they let the manager have his say and fans complain and say it shouldn’t just be down to one man.

You know that Payne, Butterfield, Clarke are similar and all best in a 10 role. Why would you agree on signing Butterfield and Clarke after you spent load on keeping Payne and our squad is vastly unbalanced?

For me some claim Edin ruined us with his transfers and I think Hopkin made a mess up so we have to change our ways. We can't afford for one man to make key transfer decisions as it's not working for the club.

@Fordy117 you need to pack it in with your contradictory criticism of the board. You have called them weak, but the only thing I see weak here is your inability to hold an argument and back it up with evidence. We know January is a difficult month to do any business on a budget. Yes we are on a budget, and this season we have had the largest budget in 15 years funded by the very same guy who you say has no balls. Unfortunately it was wasted on players like Josh Wright. I know you rate him, so here is a thought if you have the balls, suggest that you will cover his wages for the rest of his contract, then he can stay, he still has to earn his place though. In other words unless you are prepared to front up with hard cash as Stefan has done, you can’t keep attacking the board when they are trying to stabilise this club.
