oh no no. its both our fault. its our fault we signed another dud of a manager that continues to use the same tactics that haven't been working. its our fault we signed a dozen players that are also duds. ( we do it ever season ) but its the owners fault for making a child a ceo with no football experience.

 

The players aren't dud, just misused. It's like ringing an electrician to fix a bust water main.

I’m not sure anymore. No matter what we try, we keep failing. We have had all sorts of different managers but we keep missing the target. We appear to be the NHS of the football world. We have pumped money in but we keep getting worse.

MH appeared happy with the budget so I don’t think it is money. We employed a very experienced chief scout. As a manager you have to change things if they are not working and it is his job to identify what works best for the players he has. It may not be how you want to play but it’s what works best to gain as many points to gain promotion. What I want is for MH change to a system the players can all play that is positive and the players are fully onboard. Today they looked all over the place and lacking in confidence.

 

Or after I bought one Adams took over, or Bowyer. And so on and so.

It will be interesting to see what Ryan has to say about the club going forward in 2023.
Ryan apparently is suffering from an itchy trigger finger so I'm led to believe but only he can dispell this rumour by the dreaded vote of confidence.

 

I’m not sure he has the balls to sack Hughes in all honesty.
Not that I think he should be sacked either. I don’t see the benefit as we’ve tried and failed with numerous managers. I’d give him the whole season regardless.

 

In previous seasons, it was a combination of factors that led to the manager’s demise, the likes of McCall & Adams. Usually money. Being left with shite like Theo Robinson & Oscar Threlkeld instead of their preferred targets

That isn’t the case this season. You cannot for one minute say that money is an issue and that the manager has not been backed. 17k season tickets sold. A fortune has been spent on this squad. All with high pedigrees


Smallwood from the Championship
Walker from the SPL
Chapman, Halliday from League One
Harratt, Platt, Crichlow, East, Young from League Two

Highly rated kids such as Lewis, Banks, Wright from the PL on loan

This squad on paper matches anyone from this league

Our downfall this season is the manager. If he mixed things up, id give him the benefit of the doubt. But I wont because he has persisted with the same lineup for the last 4 months, with little to no change, with the exception of our wingers (who aren't the problem, getting the ball to them is)

The fault lies with Hughes an Hughes solely. Even Adams would of got this team up

 

The managerial merry go round certainly has parked itself firmly in the VP car park far to often for my liking also but sometimes the personal employed aren't a perfect fit for what can affordably achieved by being stubborn in their approach to the main goal of the club,in this case promotion, playing tactics that bore the pants of paying customers.are not financially viable going forward when supporters start to be more than judgemental with the product on offer the till stops pinging.

 

Blame Ryan Sparks! Too involved and can’t get it right.

 

Sparks should resign himself! The club might stand a chance then.

 

Sparks has been very quiet recently. Ominously quiet.

 

Let's hope it stays that way. No interest in what that gobshite has to say.

 

I’m not sure how Ryan Sparks is to blame, he appointed a manager most were delighted to get. There is zero evidence of interference in the team selection from him so why should he go? He could and maybe should have taken the advice of Darragh McAnthony and appointed Evans but there would have been a meltdown with the City supporters.

 

He knows the score, out of all cup competitions and League results that don't hide the truth.

 

Another calendar could be out of date at this rate, I really need to stop buying them or they need to take the managers off the front cover!

 

Adams is now a super manager capable of promotion with a team like this.

Riiiiight.
