Back in the day people used to put it down to 'nerves'. In this guy's case it's simply down to discipline. Eat in moderation, take exercise and cut out alcohol. Absolutely nothing to do with faulty genes.

Do you know I have no idea about his diet, lifestyle or had sight of his medical records, but I bow to your superior knowledge.

Where was the fat gene during the war years? I suppose it was spread from the Churchills? People eat too much that's it really.

I'm glad your back to being Interested Bystander.:)
Although technically correct in the sense that we no longer have any Hammers on the books, I would hate to think you no longer feel connected to us. You've spent too long hanging about with us for that!:D

If you have 2 players for every position, it would be much appreciated, thanks.

People do eat too much, I agree with that, not only that but we eat too much meat, mass produced food, and processed food. We should all cut down, and concentrate on eating plant type foods and only have meat occasionally, that would help the planet no end.

During the War years food was rationed and you had what you needed to survive. So even those that had the fat/faulty gene stayed a reasonable weight, as access to the type of food we have available now was impossible.

We wasted a good chance on Saturday , instead of him "running " onto the pitch to treat fallen men, we could have rolled him on to force the water off the pitch .
