Parker allegedly claims only until the end of the season.

Excellent effort by the ambassadors, not only are you contributing to our club financially, you are also working hard on the club’s behalf, and giving up your personal time.

I don't blame Rupp. Rahic was an incompetant business person who, for a time, will have BS'd his way through meetings. I'm sure some would call him a con man. Alas, it takes time for even the best business people to see through this kind of person as they can be very convincing.

Unfortunately, not only was the year-on-year progress at City put into a u-turn, but the very future of the club is now in jeopardy. Rahic should hold his head in shame.

How he had the nerve and audacity to to ruin a professional football club in England with sheer incompetence and blinding delusion is remarkable.

Unfortunatly every time he was asked a question at the 25 year meeting he came back with an answer that just brushed the question off, when someone asked about the finace going into the club he told us about the development squad ETC and what that was costing, it would be a good earner in the future when the young talent was comming of the conveyor belt.
When pushed he says if its only money you want putting into the club he'd sell to a Chinese consortium because it was a long term project.

Hope Bowyer can do something with these players, but what I find strange is the fact that two completely different squads seem to have given up in consecutive seasons. Can it all be laid at Rahic's door or has the club been cursed in some way?

I've a lot of time for you @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam and understand where you and those who agree are coming from, but we've simply never had such a rapid deteriation in fortunes, i.e. 15 months and so are understandably shocked perplexed etc

As to what went wrong, the answers simple - we got everything wrong that could go wrong last summer. We now suffer those consequences. Nobody is immune from the result of making wrong decisions, i.e Man U in the mid 70's

I don't get your worry about the debt. Once Rupp says it's a problem, I'll start worrying

Rahic has gone, but his bad summer decisions could cost us three seasons of progress

However, I don't share your fears.

If we go into L2, then there is no reason why we can't do what Bury and MK Dons. At the latter players like Kieran Agard, who simply didn't turn up last season, are thriving

This shows things can be turn around and though it looks bleak, we can't talk ourselves into oblivion

I remember 12 seasons ago and that seemed worse

But nice article all the same

    What choice does he have?

Most of the players are on long term contracts and hard as it is to imagine, could be a success in L2 (not all of course)

If he gives in, he loses his money, why would he do that at this stage?

I can see a problem this time next season if we're not in the promotion race, but I can't for the life in me see why it's a problem now

There is a big worry over our drop in income from ticket sales and league payments as well as contracts. Not sure who is under contract for next season. Also the future of Rupp as owner must be in question

That's the big worry for me
He has three choices to my mind
To stick and bankroll the club he hasn't much interest in and risk further inevitable losses
Sell to the highest bidder but anyone with any business nous will know the club is worth less as a L2 outfit and even less to purchase from a receiver
Totally cut any further losses and place the club in admin and write his losses off against tax
Not pretty reading I know but the blame must rest fairky and squarely at the feet of Mr Rahic
    The problem is NOW
    Which way will he jump

He did say when Edin went that the fans deserved better so hopefully he is a man of his word and he won't choose the admin route.

Exactly. I don't get this fear or Rupp jumping ship. It's based on absolutely nothing. Everything he's said has been positive and I think he's committed

That German mentality will be fuming at these setbacks - but I think a comeback can be made

You only need to see both Blackpool (assuming the Oyston thing is settled) and Doncaster to see that it's not about having a crisis, but it's how you handle it

Not at all @Bronco@Bronco. I gave Rahic the benefit of the doubt up right up to when Grayson went. For me, this was now the test - what would he do now he had an entire pre-season. It was simple he succeeds, then those who think he wasn't all bad are vindicated. If he failed, those who told us he couldn't be trusted were correct. He failed and if you remember, as soon as he sacked Collins - I stated that he should take full responsibility

We can box this around for the next year. What we need to do, if relegated is dust ourselves down like Doncaster and Blackpool did or MK Dons and Bury appear to be doing.Or we can go the Orient / Notts County route.

The summer will be the time when we find exactly what the damage is and what direction Rupp wants to take. The end product of the Rahic era will be league 2 football, the inevitable conclusion of the dreams of a mad man. There is no reason why they can't bounce back up but the results of the damage report i alluded to in another post will need to be analysed first before we begin to move forward.
