They are right and that is a fair assessment. The price needs to considerably reduce. He can wait for a miracle if he likes but the price will keeping going down. No promotion this year.

Surely the first thing you ask is how much and what am I getting for the price.
If the price you are given is massively over your budget then you just say no thanks.
You don’t need to be in England to do that.

It would have been serious culture shock for them, coming from the land of purpose built (usually funded by the local council) stadia with room for some functionality outside the said stadia. You never know, the lack of space around the ground may have been a major factor in them not pursuing at the asking price.

 

But the guy selling is a Bosh, and he should also be thinking practically/logically like that too. Who’s advised him that 10m (alleged) is the correct price?

So the interested party was priced out because Rupp values the club at x million.

he’ll regret overvaluing when the ST campaign bombs and we lose a third of our fans and the club is worth even less and we’ve a set of frustrated sponsors who are no longer partnered with a club with bumper crowds.

Our club is Rupptured with no Spark so no reason why any of us should act like a Gent in all this. That's all True man!

 

Very similar situation to just over 10 years ago. Very dark days.

It was our 5th year in League 2, McCall failed, then we were subjected to the awful Taylor, fans were wanting blood then too - Lawn, Rhodes, Baldwin, lost Jacko after 4 games, we were investing in the development squad run by that Archie fella when on the pitch we were absolute shite. Parkinson came in early doors, football was horrific and we finished 18th. Things picked up after then though.

If Rupp sold, Sparks stepped down and Alexander went I would have no issue. I dont see a repeat, just drawing parallels, this isnt an isolated period though and think some fans have short memories when talking about this been the worst ever.
