I was up at that end of the ground. There were some idiots on both sides.

The Rochdale 'firm' was about twenty borderline pubescent kids. However, they were throwing full bottles into the City fans. Who were responding in kind. Unfortunately, I think someone got hit on the Rochdale side who had nothing to do with the idiots.

The lack of police inside the ground isn't the wisest choice, which ultimately allowed the silliness to carry on for a lot longer than necessary.

I did laugh at two Burberry sporting waifs, one from each side, giving each other the v's from about 50 yards.

This young yob element seem to be getting worse and worse every away game, and unfortunately swelling in numbers too.

I was hoping the atrocious behaviour I witnessed at Sunderland was a one off but having read about more of the same today it's a worrying trend.

They were letting off flares in the concourse at half time today. Same idiots as last week.

Reet pantomime, didn't wish to be involved, wasn't involved.

    Happy days.

The prevalence of 50p smoke bombs is less alarming than it is eye-rollingly embarrassing.

Next up, Barnsley. Only thing is half won't turn up like they did yesterday as Barnsley have numbers and any incidents will see those teenagers get brayed.

Yes I noticed this on Cemetery Road(?) after the game, doing it on a bus at first and then further in the forefront to cars, which included alady driver in her 50s. I'm not in the slightest able to understand why you would do that.

One of those smoke bombs was let off in front of us in the first half, after the goal and they are a fecking annoyance. The acrid taste is disgusting and filled the air for a few minutes. Of note , where the smoke bombs was let off was where the k block bantams had a banner out prior to the commencement of the game.

On Bradford City official Facebook page there are some lady’s discussing about being hit with objects and petrified children

It will only have a decrease on younger children attending away games.

    Very sad

its something that you shouldn't be trying to attach to K block Bantams. They set themselves up to have an area where fans who wanted to create an atmosphere could sit or stand depending on allocation.
They are always going to attract the younger end of our fanbase, the ones who see it as fun to have colourful smokebombs.
What we have to remember is nearly every club in europe has this type of atmosphere and then some when it comes to pyros and its a case of educating rather than blasting imo because the more you say no you cant do that, the more people rebel.
Im all for creating a better atmosphere as it motivates the team and creates a buzz in the stands that folk want to return to.
If it wasnt for our tragic history then im sure it would be welcomed but of course we can never disrespect the supporters who lost their lives and their families who were affected, so other ways of supporting our team with colour and noise should be suggested, not just by the K block lot but by everyone, its the only way imo

I have to agree. My son who is 6 was very scared by a lot of the very drunk lot at Sunderland and we moved from the front towards the back just before the trouble with the stewards.
Its tough because we are very protective these days and people do sensationalize events.
I was 8 when i went to my first away games, at Man City and Sheff Utd in 1988.
I didnt come away feeling frightened, i wanted more, but i dont think anyone can say it would have been any tamer at Maine Road or Bramall Lane in the late 80's than at Spotland or The Stadium of Light these days?

Have to agree and say these yobs are nothing to do with the K Block Bantams. These idiots are young boys out to cause trouble, the K Block are a great set of lads trying to improve atmosphere, can’t emphasise that enough.

I commented on bcfc fan page on Facebook about this. Seems most on there think it is acceptable behaviour. Personally I think it makes us look like knobs but anyway. Don’t see the need for it

Good post @vin weasel@vin weasel but looking at these youngsters I doubt very much they would be open to be educated.
They attend for what they class as a good day out and unfortunatly this includes smoke bombs, the only way clubs can stop them getting in and using them can only be done at the turnstiles.

I literally noticed people holding up the smoke bombs Peopoe can just take pics on there phone and post them on social media and send to the club but as they are clearly under 18 it’s abit weird taking pics of kids.

I think in my opinion there is a line, 1-2 times a season to create a party atmosphere and pretend where Partizan Belgrade for 5mins I think 1 smoke bomb is ‘ok lads you’ve had your fun, looks cool, stinks but gets people buzzing and helps with the atmosphere’ it when it’s every game, children about, throwing them into the opposition fans and onto the pitch, and in the areas behind the seating it’s a joke and I think it really needs to be stopped but, the more it is tried to be stopped and publicised the more that one 14 year old will think he’s cool by letting one off

Perhaps this will help. Not my words.....

Chairman’s Charter to help put an end to the dangerous use of pyrotechnics, which include smoke bombs, flares and fireworks within EFL football grounds.

Any supporter found to be in breach of the terms of the charter will face a minimum three-season Club ban. Clubs will be permitted the flexibility to reduce the length of the Club ban should an offender recognise the danger of their actions.

The use of pyrotechnics or even trying to get them into a ground is a criminal offence. People using them are likely to face prosecution and a football banning order and aside of those consequences I would ask fans to consider how they would feel if, as a result of their actions, another supporter was scarred for life, seriously injured or worse.”
