What a rollercoaster that was. I completely lost it when Ball scored. Those extra 2 points could be the difference in staying up. What a game Ball had. I hope we can make him our player.

Well just got back and bloody hell what character from the team to bounce back from what could have been a very dispiriting goal making it 3-3.

When we got the ball down and made short incisive passes we tore them apart.

Ball MOTM by a country mile.Loved it in 2nd half when he took that pass in his stride and played it into the box with the outside of his boot and took out most of their defence. Pure class.

Akpan is improving game by game. Never a free kick for their 2nd. But a good strike by their lad nonethless.

Get some new signings and something at Wycombe and things could be looking much brighter.

 

What a fecking win that is, absolutely HUGE! Shrews were utter dog shit, it would've been a travesty if we'd have not won that.

And finally some fecking passion, the celebrations after that goal from Akpan and Caddis in particular is what we want to see!

Wood was excellent btw, I don't think he's got enough technically to be a LW but based on tonight and his defensive performance he can make it as a LB.

 

The lad who scored a hat trick for the Shrews was a right handful tonight.

 

He was, and so was Woods until he went off (hope that's not the last we see of him this season, given his history with injuries).

 

I said the same and the guy infront said he's shuring up the defence, I said were encouraging Shrewsbury to attack lo and behold we conceed a penalty, they had nothing to lose so push men forward but what a winner from Bally.

 

We haven’t had a win like that this season. Really poor officials tonight, but we won despite them. This team has guts they didn’t give up.

 

Can't remember a finish like that for ages, genuinely thought we'd blown it. Could just be the goal that keeps us up. Crazy scenes after Balls goal, fans bouncing all over the place.

 

I dont think Hopkin helps Doyles game playing Payne behind him, get the lad a strike partner and I think we will see a better Doyle.

 

That was embarrassing....for me, cursing life and everything in it and Bally does that! It was like winning big on the lottery,losing the ticket in the fire and while I was in meltdown Bally retrieved it!

A lifetime supporting Bradford City should carry a health warning.....

Imagine him upfront for us tonight, we'd have had the game sewn up with half an hour left. Doyle poor tonight, should have had a hat trick.

 

Agree we shouldnt need to score 4 goals to win a game, Im not complianing but it doesn't do the old ticker any good.

 

I still need to see there first goal sgain it looked offside from where we sit ?.

 

When i saw the team sheet and the 4-2-3-1 again, i thought Hopkin was being too negative again but fair play to 'em they attacked, created chances and at 3-1 should have seen the game out.
Thank heavens for Ball, i was so mad when it got back to 3-3- the season was just slipping away.

Macgowan not on the bench SHOULD mean a centre back coming in, otherwise either NKP or O'Connor misses time and we look weak again.
A winger will make a hell of a difference but there were plenty of players tonight who put a shift in, bravo!

Absolutely outstanding! That was a 'moment', and I'm so glad after the sucker punch that was the equalising penalty that the lads stuck at it and pressed for the winner - we weren't licking our wounds or feeling sorry for ourselves, and in a game where we could have 6 or 7, we've actually smashed home four and all the goals from open play showing some real quality.

Some interesting comments here about individual performances, don't agree with all of them, but who cares?

That was a solid team performance in terms of individual outings, and three goals really flatters Shrewsbury. The free kick maybe O'Donnell misread, but it wasn't a free kick in a million years - the penalty, I thought yes, that's unfortunately the right call - but their forward looked strong, quick and pretty slick with his runs.

Can we PLEASE get Ball on a permanent?! Damn!

 

I thought the whole team put a shift in tonight and if Doyle is your scapegoat so be it but we watched him second half and he was making some good runs to make space but wasn't being passed to.

 

I thought Doyle lost his way first half, but put a better performance in the second half. He just needs to get in with it and hope we sign another striker to compliment him.
