The pledge might well materialise and I hope it does. Time will tell. But whatever is rumoured to have already gone on behind the scenes (and I know that some of what you say isn't true), it doesn't provide any evidence that Rupp has already put some more of his own money in the club. Read into that however you wish to. If Rupp had invested in more equity or he had loaned the club significant dosh, there'd be some filing record at Companies House and there aren't any. That's not a rumour or supposition; it's a simple fact.

But haven't we learned from recent experiences that there is a gap between what we have been told and what later transpires as facts? Whether that's investing in young talent to sell on at a profit; or being on course for a £700k deficit last season (or twice that amount according to some) which became a loss of less than £300k even after the so-called missing money has been accounted for; or that there were other investors waiting in the wings to help us if we ever got into the Championship? Where have they gone? Or that we were prepared in advance for at least two transfer windows? History showed otherwise.

I'll be quite honest. I am very cynical about many of the messages emanating from VP especially those which should be provable and yet cannot be. And the fine words from JR and others who are close to the club fill me with little confidence without something of substance to support what they say.

You raise a question on how the bills are being paid? Like any business, from wherever they can raise the cash (including the never ever mentioned sell on fees from Wisdom and Wells) but that doesn't mean relying on the owner necessarily. And an earlier 'early bird offer' for season tickets would certainly help that!

@Dennis@Dennis you quite rightly raise a number of points that cannot be disproved and I totally trust your financial assessment of the club. So do you think they are overplaying the financial deficit? As you say the necessary paper/electronic work should be there and it isn’t. If you are correct then we are being given lots of disinformation which has been reported in the press. I am relieved that the rumours about missing money is incorrect as we have enough to deal with at the moment.

Why would they do this to their own fans?

Yep a pretty telling comment on this seasons ST sales. I think most of us believed it was just short of 15,000.

I spotted this, which I guess is where you got the figure from? “Last summer under Edin Rahic, season ticket sales figures were kept under wraps. Thousands didn't renew and Rahic did not want the world to know. WOAP understands that around 13,700 were actually sold. So for City to have basically matched the 2018/19 total is quite something.” https://widthofapost.files.wordpress.com/2019/03/cs106_bradford_v_blackpool.jpg

I'd have thought if Rahic inflated the number sold it would have reduced the player budget, or something else where he could have moved finance from ?.

in fairness, thats exactly the sort of thing I could see Edin doing.

much like he did with supposed 'transfer fee's in an effort to curry favour with the fanbase.

I don't know, just can't understand the difference in figures. Rahic is an accountant so cooking the books would come easy to him.

Quite possibly ........ I had thought about Oldham, but the other two would be better attended in Lge 1. All three are trying to bring back 'lost' fans. ;)

Tranmere was a great away day last time, I was on the Corn Dolly coach. Stopped off at beauty of a pub and took the p1ss out of Ronnie Moore. Seem to remember the concourse was bouncing at half time too!
