Whereas mine is that he is reporting to BOTH owners (hence why the ‘joint’ statement was penned by Edin and not Stefan). I also don’t believe we are anywhere near Admin and it is just the latest rumours being circulated by shit stirrers.

“Dream on”? Didn’t you just agree with him? If 7k fans refuse to walk away (as we haven’t through all previous adversity), and pay around £300 for our tickets, we would bring in around the same revenue (from ticket sales) as this season.

A halving of tickets sold at twice the price might keep ticket revenues flat but commercial revenues would roughly halve, leaving total revenue down 1/4. If the club's other overheads remained fairly constant at close to 50% of expenditure, the hit would go to the playing budget, so that could be nearly halved too.

Only if everyone spends the same in the bars etc. Those that stay are likely to be the higher spenders

Just out of interest, why are so many of you writing this season off? You did see the runs put together by Barnsley and Plymouth? I’m not suggesting we will get into the play-offs or even just outside, but there are enough points from January to May to get us outside the bottom 4.

    Why the negativity????!

Because I can't honestly see where the next points are coming from. who are we likely to beat?
we're dreadful and don't look like beating anybody.

You seen the shit that's rolled out week after week? - the most depressing thing is that we are relying on Jake Reeves and that permanently crocked forward (can't remember his name) to save the season.

Which is why I said there are enough points from January and not from now. You’re right that there isn’t enough in this squad, but I have confidence that Hopkin (and Rhodes) will bring in enough quality to secure our stay in L1

I agree. I hope that we pay both Reeves and Jones off, as both are stealing a wage. But as I mentioned to Ricc, I’m at least hopeful that Hopkin will bring in sufficient quality in January to get us out of this mess

Don't football clubs have a duty of care to players that are injured and are close to being or are out of contract. Not a chance of paying Reeves or Jones off if that's the case.

trouble is, by then, we might be about 20 points adrift.

Why would we pay any players off?

Our squad is threadbare - we need all the fit players we can get. Some weeks we've had teenagers filling the bench.

If you pay a player off early you don't save their wages, you just save the national insurance contributions the club pays on those wages - paltry for half a season. They still get their wages they signed up for. Maybe in some cases they might agree to write off a fraction, but, even so, we don't magically save wages by releasing players.

Well we won’t be able to bring any players in then, because according to our fan accountants we are near limit.

Are you referring to what I posted yesterday about the limit having been reached on loanees?

If so, you may have misunderstood my post; it only related to loanees. If we do want to bring in additional loanees, that infers we will either have to send some of the current loanees back to their parent club in January (if that's even possible under the existing loan agreement) or accept that we'll have more loanees than the matchday limit of 5 and then be paying for somebody who can't even get on the bench!

The loanee limit doesn't have any bearing on 'proper' transfers.
