Fair enough RT, but they are akin to Man U dropping to CC , I believe they normally reside in BL Premier. They can’t seem to get back……for the last 5 seasons or so?

Good on Banks, hope he does well. That’s a number of loanees under Hughes that have developed here and gone higher up. Banks, Wright and Crichlow. Hopefully this puts us in a decent position when trying to sign loanees in the future.

What sort of level of football are the German side St Pauli ?.

 

Good for Banks, St Pauli are a team that keeps challenging for promotion, the football club is amazing and Hamburg is a wonderful city

 

Probably mid Championship-they’re one of the better clubs in Bundesliga 2

Its a great City to not only play football in but to be also based in. That local derby is a crazy game.

Scott Banks tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the match against Eintracht Braunschweig on Friday (1/9). Get well soon, Scott! We wish you as good a experience as possible.

Nice to see Scott Banks back on the field after his injury. Good way to finish the season for him.

 

At least their "tactical substitution" didn't turn to ratshit as ours did.

 

Presumably they were actually ahead and hanging onto a lead when he was substituted.

 

Not really for this forum I suppose, but Scott Banks played from bench in final game of season for St Pauli in Bundesliga 2 this weekend. He had ACL injury very early in season and hardly played. In his come back match he claimed assist in win which secured championship for them. Being released by Crystal Palace according to Daily Record. Sat with some of his mates at Carlisle last season at play-off. Said he really enjoyed his time at City. Hope he gets a good deal somewhere.

 

Yeh you would think a L1 side takes a punt on him.

 

He might even go higher although it could be a risk that doesn't pay off for him in terms of game time. I do think he's got the ability to play at Championship level though, even if it takes another year or two of development.
