Not that at all, the destination country I meant. With so many UK options but going to a country where he hasn’t a clue of the language. ( However Germans are better language educated than this country) So I expect they know faultless English .

It’s still a step up and it’s good experience several players have moved over there

 

Change in culture too, takes away the UK habit of young footballers falling into the luxury lifestyle or falling out of nightclubs , popped up at all hours.

Seems to be less of an issue on the continent and the likes of Sancho and Bellingham have flourished over in Germany too

 

Looks like St Pauli have a few guys who were in the EFL in the last few seasons, looks a pretty multi national team. Decent other option for some of these young lads as suggested higher in the thread.

 

Of course it's a step up for Banks. It's the German equivalent of the Championship. Add in all the life lessons he'd learn by living abroad then it's a no brainer.

I know that, everyone associates the B/L with Bayern et al. He’s going to prob equiv to our L1, bottom of CC .Perhaps I should have said it’s not the Premier B/L eh?

In monetary terms I'd agree but there are some huge clubs in Bundesliga 2 Kev. The likes of Hamburg and Stuttgart regularly get over 50,000.

 

Banks has signed a new deal with Palace and immediately gone out on loan to St.Pauli for the season.
