This recent photo confirms that he no longer has a problem with his right knee:

We could do with a good corner taker first

    Immense signing.

I don't know how we are managing him, but all the indicators from Exeter were that, at best he would be in and out of the team, due to his long term 'injury' issues.

We may yet lose him to injuries but, so far, he has been a class and a half above League 2 standard.

Second home game in a row Stubbs and Lewis have conspired to give away a penalty out of absolutely no danger at all. It was Lewis' fault for the first one, Stubbs at fault for this one.

But those moments are rare for both, and both have been excellent this season.

    Great players, League One quality.

Fully agree with above what an asset we have, he reminds me so much of Andrew Davies, big lad, great reader of the game, solid in any dual, not the quickest by any means but this is made up by his game intelligence. I remember reading a few Exeter fans comments saying if we can keep him fit then he's too good for L2, I genuinely always take note of fans opinions with regards signings as more often than not they turn out to be not far off the mark, and so far their comments fit the bill.

Rory McArdle was a league two centre half and he didnt do too bad popping up at the near post. Tongue out, wheels away. Oh yes,

Think it’s more those crediting him for the impact he has made since signing rather than just about today. The mistake for the pen was indeed poor, but as much a mix up between Lewis than simply down to just Stubbs.

Since joining, Stubbs and Clayton have improved us and provided a mentality we needed. Don’t see the comments above as little else of acknowledging this.

The Bristol City player had a simple tap-in to an empty net until the Blades keeper deliberately hooked his legs. No other defenders anywhere near and no attempt to play the ball. Stonewall red card all day long.
The two Lewis pens were mix-ups between keeper and CBs, but were genuine attempts to play the ball that failed. Hence no red cards.

He reminds me of Rory McArdle in his early days here. Impressive and looks strong for 99% of a game but always seemed to have a mistake in him.

Those moments though grew less and less as time went on and hopefully Stubbs will follow suit.

I agree, it's really frustrating, but I think Hughes has him doing this on purpose to pull their strikers into a press which creates space. I mean it doesn't work, but I think that's the idea.

The Grimsby one was Platt who left it after Lewis shouted “ keeper” . Not sure what Stubbs has to do with it JB. I’m sure

Impressed with Stubbs. He slotted into the back 4 seamlessly after signing and would certainly do a job for us in league 1 if we manage to get promoted

If he's as good as Andrew Davies, it will be worth it despite injuries.

That's a big bloody ask though hahaha

You must have seen the games when Angol just flatly refused to put the extra effort in to reach a through ball or cross because he looked like he was scared of a hamstring or a muscle going pop again.
Being fully fit and giving everything for 90 mins and being fit enough to get through 90 mins are 2 very different things.

Good as he is, I find Critchlow infuriating for slowing play down, especially considering how good he is with the ball at his feet. At times he has acres of space in front of him and could advance 20, 30 yards, but he stands on the ball looks around and usually ends up playing it back to Platt because the midfield haven't shown for it

You've answered your own statement with regards as to why Crichlow holds the ball. One, because he's comfortable with it to feet but also because invariably the midfield can't get away from their markers as they are too slow or because he knows if he passes it he's only gonna get it straight back. He doesn't venture forward too often as he is the last line of defence on the counter and has to cover Platts lack of pace.
