Well for once my 'feeling' has proved correct. I thought Stockport would be a nightmare but I always thought a first win at Salford was on the cards.

So we're definitely in the promotion race. 'Squeaky bum' time for all us unti Game 46 :)

I thought Chapman had a very good game. It bemuses me that anyone would think otherwise. He was a constant threat

Walker could play on crutches, and he'd still be more effective that Chapman - he just doesn't influence games, he's 'just there'!

All about opinions of course, but think you will be in the minority today. I always respect Morais' views and he was impressed with him today

Our only chance last week was down to the type of skill, that few others in L2 has. The way he wrong footed Stockport to create that brilliant chance that hit the post.

I take it you also missed his last second move across the goal line against Wimbledon, that was desperately cleared by him.

If he's "just there" then he must be influencing something as we're winning far more than we're losing

Fantastic win against a promotion rival, and away from home, too...

What's really impressing me about this team is the ability to rise to a challenge.

Stevenage at home? Thrashed them. Salford away? Three points. Tranmere are climbing the table, we beat them no problem.

I just like what I'm hearing and seeing. We need to be more consistent to break into the top three, but I really wouldn't take that off the table. We have the best performing centre forward in the division, and long are the days of dreading a Saturday game or praying for an away point.

    We're in the mix, boys.

His was the name that the commentators seemed to be saying all the time. He seemed to put in a real shift in the middle.

It's worrying we're not creating many chances still but a win is a win.

Excellent display today. Energy all over the pitch. Let's hope we've learned from last week. What we need to learn now is how to break down negativity by visiting teams at VP. If we can do that it looks very promising indeed.

3 shots all game for the home side is never a good stat, unless you win, then you might get away with it.

100% It's why I thought we would win today. We seem to be very good in the 'big' six pointer matches. That of course needs matching, when we go to Grimsby next week as we underestimate them at our peril (and it's nice to have them back as they always bring a load to our place, complete with 2000 haddocks!!)

Salford try to play the same as us and it suits us the trouble we have is against high press physical teams one of which I think we will face next week

Just a note re Lee Angol. Today's booking takes the lad to five for the season.
I think that that will be a ban (one game?)

Salford rely on putting things through Watt. Chapman's job was to stop him controlling the game for them. Not pretty but he did the job well

This is bang on. I cannot believe Salford went with this approach, have they not watched us this season? Today was like most of our wins this season, put under little pressure by a side trying to the tika taka passing style on a pudding of a pitch. Reminds a lot of our Wembley playoff season under Stuart. And the same players stepping up each week, Tyriek and Cooky again.

I actually we did create chances. 3 or 4 good ones, away from home to a side who’ll likely be top 7, is decent going.

We had ten chances, with four on target. That's against a team that has the second best defence - conceding less than a goal per game.

I don't see us creating more away from home against a promotion rival.

Fair enough - they didn't really come across as good/strong chances on the radio commentary!
