Typical, I manage to tick a new ground off and they move, add it to a very long list.
Parking anywhere near is a farce though, we got there at 1o'clock and struggled.

 

The diagonal run Cooky made and Critchlow seeing it and putting in the perfect pass was top notch. The diagonal run avoided any offside ruling and the finish through the keepers legs was clever. A real strikers instinct goal by a top striker for this level.

 

Despite Crichlow nearly losing possession, he was determined to get the ball back. Watt’s attempt at trying to win the ball showed his inherent weakness that we all know….He can’t tackle! A massive weakness for a lad in the middle of the park.

At the Peninsula? We arrived just after 2 and there was loads of on street parking where I was. Then a 10 minute walk straight to the ground.

Watt had alot of possession and played alot of passes. But like at City, nothing much that he did affected play or was incisive. Smallwood continues to be Father Superior, the guy who can not only turn matches with his decision making but perhaps as importantly, organize people around him and keep discipline on the pitch as captain when we're out of possession. So happy we have Richie - a player who does so much off the ball that alot of fans don't spot.

I'm a big Rom fan. He showed so many different sides to his play at the Peninsula and the confidence in that run and then the exquisite delivery of the final ball was the cream on the cake. If we go up, I would love MH to arm wrestle the Udders into letting us sign him. They may be in L1 too next season, frankly!

Help me here - when was the last time we had such an impressive centre back pairing? Matty 'They Shall Not Pass' Platt and Rom Critchlow who's so comfortable on the ball play so well together, and as each game goes by, seem to secure a better understanding of how they combine.

 

As he 'gobshites' about the current government is it really gobshite? Ok he doesn't help his cause by accepting the commentary job but I don't think the only people who can ever discuss anything have to be 100% perfect.

Damo I agree with Neville totally about this shit storm of a chaotic government, a fellow Labour supporter. But it undermines your cause when you're calling other people out as hypocrites and chancers when you're doing the same yourself. No we're not all 100 per cent perfect, but for goodness sake, Neville and Beckham are both now earning a fortune from giving their support to a horrendous system.

With Neville's track record, it will be the other way around. Them touting the job to him ready to sack Woods when they drop out of the top seven. Hypocrite Neville has form for this

I've been disappointed with him so far, BUT perhaps I was expecting the wrong kind of player, and perhaps I'm being unfair to him in that respect. I'm going to make an effort to watch him more next match and see what exactly he brings, and hopefully it will change my mind.

 

I'll be honest I was expecting more of a "take no prisoners", enforcer type, but I'm still more than happy with what we've got!
