All about opinions but I actually thought watt was the best player on the pitch especially on the ball. If any player on any side were going to create something it was him.

I do note, similar to his time with us, some of his passes were stat Padders and he lost the 50/50 with critchlow for the goal, but I think harsh to call him ineffective

 

If it was two yards over, it would have hit the net!

 

He had a good game but wouldn't have played today if Gilliead was fit Kev. Has to play like this every week now.

 

I said a few weeks ago, it depends on the opposition wether he plays. Today justified that to a tee. There are other oppositions where I wouldn’t select him, one’s with big bustling midfielders for example. Watt and Guthrie were small midfield players for them today. That’s why he had a good game because they didn’t overpower the middle. Hard to explain but that’s the second time he’s started recently, and he had good games both times.

 

I think, to be honest, either Reeves or Watt could play the East role - but we've East, and I'm not convinced there's much difference between the three of them.

Just my thoughts.

Gilliead is a great alternative who offers something different, and suits it when we play more direct or physical sides as he's great at running with the ball and a better tackler.

All four are 'good' League Two midfielders.

 

Really important win and clean sheet and very much deserved. Only gripe is we should've won by more and Chapman should've had a couple just for himself.

Salford were pretty poor. Kept the ball well but no quality in the final third whatsoever and was an easy day at the office for the back four and Lewis. Shoutout to Platt who was excellent and back to his best after last week's blip.

 

Critchlow v Watt made that goal! Chapman was very very unlucky and had a good game!

 

For all his qualities he was never a tackler. Crichlow wanted it more but then had the composure to play a well weighted through ball. Really good piece of play.

 

Salford are planning a ground swap with them moving to share the 12,000 aj bell stadium with sale, and Salford red devils moving to the peninsula. Start of 23/24 season.

 

Looks like Barrow are starting to drop, size and quality of squad will count in the end. I can see Orient staying the course but Stevenage not sure when bookings and winter take hold?

 

Halliday was outstanding yesterday he was up against their only quality player and did well with no help from His winger

 

Bruce will be touting for a job, the guy second in from the right on the back row looks like an old Eugene Martinez or “Eui” as he was called.

The lad is crap ,13 goals and a 50% shot conversion rate. Piss poor. should be double that.

 

Damo I agree with Neville totally about this shit storm of a chaotic government, a fellow Labour supporter. But it undermines your cause when you're calling other people out as hypocrites and chancers when you're doing the same yourself. No we're not all 100 per cent perfect, but for goodness sake, Neville and Beckham are both now earning a fortune from giving their support to a horrendous system.

Just hope this team has the bounce back ability after some very poor recent displays, otherwise I sense a pasting. Will be my first visit to Salford, so at least I can tick off another ground...just hope the team turns up as we know they are capable!
