    Please tell us you're joke?

How about where were the midfielders to close him down?

I think if you look at the thread in respect of dangerous driving, you will see that I got in touch with the club and received a response which I published. I checked with the author if they were happy for me to do so. They were. Mad Driving again
So what is to stop you asking Stefan Rupp if he is content for you to cut and paste his e-mail?
If he isn’t happy, can he give you something which he is content to disclose.
If he isn’t happy to do that, then I suggest a couple of things.
You do not put things on here you are not happy to source.
Stefan if you are reading this, don’t send anything to posters on here you are not happy to disclose, as they use it and cause dissatisfaction!

If a goal is scored from 35 yards it’s a great goal if we had scored nobody would be talking about closing down

    **so funny**so funny

You could of run through with all that space and shoot at goal.

Just because a 35 yard goes in doesn't meant it shouldn't be stopped.

Even McCall in his interview called it a Worldy possibly shouldn’t have been given the space but when they go in from there you have to hold your hands up. Pick yourself up and get back in the game

The strike was a good strike.

However, he had no midfielders around him and neither did the player who past him the ball.

It's highly concerning if a manager isn't looking to stop strikes like that from happening.

I actually agree with Fordy there. It's not that the lad was practising shots from 35 yards on his own, there are 21 other players on the pitch that can influence that part of the play. The fact that he had time and space to be able to line up a 35 yard strike means that our players should have done better and prevented it. If he had been put under time and space pressure he probably wouldn't have hit the target and scored!!

Numerous coaching points from that little passage of play...

Hunter dropped off Mellor from our right into space, in between the lines. Mellor didn't go with him. CBs were marking but our 4 'midfield' players in the frame (DMH,JR,JD,CC) were taken out of the game by his movement and by Gibson's pass. We were 10 yards off Gibson as well so he wasn't under pressure at all. Mellor runs away back to his area rather than try and close Hunter down. CC is the closest player (5 yards away) when Hunter strikes. CBs don't rush out to try and stop the strike. We have a very bad habit of backing off and letting players run at us without a challenge!!

    Now onto the 2nd goal...

Hunter gets the ball 20 yards in his own half (from a pass by Gibson, who again had no pressure applied!!), our midfield far too high and the gap between midfield and defence is half the pitch. Hunter runs completely unchallenged to the edge of the area and shoots and scores!! The only person who attempted to come and stop him was AOC but it was too little too late. Again backing off, backing off. Think Mellor was wary of the guy who was coming up on the left but he wasn't the danger, the man with the ball was!! If he doesn't get the ball he is no danger!! On all my FA Courses when they talk about defending they talk about 'where is the danger', defend the danger..

We gave Gibson far too much time and space all afternoon to dictate their play. You can't allow an ex-prem and International player that time and space. His legs have gone but put him under pressure and he can't make those decisive passes!!

Not gone quiet RT but footballs based on opinion, has he or has he not been prolific in this recent league in terms of assists recently? This squad could make the Brazilian Ronaldo look dog meat.

Gibson is only 32. Didn’t realise they’d just signed him last month. Wonder how much he’s on a month? Type of player we could have done with picking up, although I know we couldn’t afford him.

Believe it or not they haven't been playing well according to their fans. Well just play us and its a guaranteed confidence booster. Let's face it, if the pitch hadn't been as bad as it was last week Plymouth would have dicked us. Demoralising as a fan when you know we can't even do the basics rightn

A team of individuals who can’t follow the managers instructions on even a basic level is going nowhere. That is what we have, players who don’t understand that they are not individuals but part of a team. McCall told them where they went wrong in allowing firstly Gibson to pass the ball to Hunter without any pressure. They had been told during the week he was a danger. They then go out and do it again within 2 mins!! Can someone tell me what that is all about?

Unfortunately it tells you this group of players are unable to take in and carry out simple management instructions.
Some players have already packed their bags.
The body language on show would suggest that to me, absolutely disgraceful and hard to defend any of them when they can not carry out the basics of the game.
No teamwork ethics at all just poor individuals running down the clock.

It’s about a playing squad who mostly cannot even do the basics right. It’s a squad who don’t even have the ability to take instructions and execute to an acceptable level. It’s a squad who cannot take responsibility for their OCCUPATIONS and go out and try to do everything they can to perform to the best of their ability.

I genuinely believe there is sufficient ability within this squad to not put in performances like we have seen at Crawley, Mansfield, Oldham and Salford and proof in the changes in management that the responsibility for these solely lies with the players.

Absolutely unacceptable. I’m glad Stuart referenced their futures in the post match interview and i hope that has been very clear to the playing staff. Of our own official contracted squad (exc loans) that has been here for at least +50% of the season, i am struggling to make a case for any of them deserving a contract or being here next season apart from Wood, Donaldson and perhaps Reeves and O’Donnell.

We're at the same point we were at the last time we dropped into league 2. A club going absolutely nowhere, bumbling from one mishap to another. Sometimes your owners just drop lucky like they did with Phil parkinson, i'm not sure that luck is going to be afforded to Stefan Rupp. Yesterday was yet another low point and i've seen too many of them over the past two and a half seasons. I said before and i'll say it again, this squad is the worst squad of players i've seen in my time watching City. Bar Wood, there isn't one of them that would get a game in a higher division. Most of them wouldn't get a game at a top league 2 club. Just a mismatch of players no one really wants. All that talking of slow and steady progress a couple of seasons ago, all gone without anything to show for it bar memories of players who had heart and desire when pulling on the shirt.
The toxicity around this club still hangs around like a bad smell. Its gonna take another Phil Parkinson type effort to get rid of it, i'm not sure the club is in a position from the top down to even contemplate it in the near future.

I agree with what your saying and the very fact at the end of your post you could only come up with four names says it all really.
I'm not happy we face yet another rebuild in the summer Olly but it's inevitable. Fingers crossed McCall gets it right.
But he's got one hell of a task on his hands.
