    Sad. It is our word. We end so many seasons with it ringing in our ears. Successive managements and the faux media continue to try and tell us, whether to buy season tickets or just for lazy press headlines, that we're a sleeping giant. We're not. Apart from two seasons in the top flight in modern times, and a handful of seasons in Lg 1/Championship, we're an ever struggling club, hamstrung by poor leadership, ownership and a get it all on the cheap mentality. Tadcaster Albion, who are three leagues below us, have a more professional analysis, fitness, coaching set up than we do. Look at their website and see how many people they employ - and more importantly, their qualifications and up to the minute experience. We're so far behind a lot of the clubs in Lg 2 with our general outlook and refusal to look forward with ambition, try new things, new approaches. We have once again, ended up exactly where we deserved to be - 15th in the bottom division of the football league. And it is just. Very, very sad.

    Embarrassment of a club run by clueless bafoons. Glad to have been part of the Richmond Era and the cup runs but I fear the way we are currently run we wont see City in a higher league in our lifetime.

    Y'know I seriously worry that you're going to be proved right. On the terraces since aged three, could never support another club.Maybe we all need to get used to total mediocrity and not pretend we have an owner or a management that can take us anywhere further. This is in no way what I want, but it is in every way what we currently have.

    It's not a question of whether we'll get back into League One or not, it's a question of how quickly.

    We're all fed up, and want promotion next season - but we're taking risks that might impede our progress because we've got a super inexperienced CEO working for someone with zero interest in English football aside from the fact he foolishly bought a club.

    However, I've been on forums long enough to know that City fans can't see past the current run of form, so I'm not surprised to read you guys are so down in the dumps about it.

    This season's performance isn't indicative of what we'll get served up next year, although the worry is we're just wasting time until we install an experienced manager.

    Still... maybe T&S will surprise us all.

    Well, lets be fair here, we've been better than we were under the Mclown era.... We have been "one million percent better actually" - if you don't understand the one million percent joke, I refer you to his last interview before he was finally sacked v Oldham.

    Don't you guys worry about that! We are a big club, and according to the clown, people will come banging on our door - next season, title winners!

    The problem is Jon, it is difficult to see past the current run of form when we've had regression every year for the past 4 seasons.

    I agree with much of that. However, the biggest predictor of future performance is past performance. If we have the same people running the show next season, why would it be any different to this? A chronically disinterested owner, a CEO with less than 12 months experience of being one, and managers with less than 6 months experience of being so. That's not a recipe for success.

    I tell you what we are just half a season in to a new CEO who has promised us better things. Big changes have been promised so why not wait and see what he delivers before starting a thread like this

    Look at our consistent regression over the last few seasons. In league positions alone, we have gone from relegation to bad to worse. As a supposedly 'big club' our coaching, analyticals and conditioning standards are bloody poor, even for Lg 2 standards. Many non-league clubs are far more professional and forward thinking. We've chopped and changed to no effect with a myriad numbers of players and managers and end up where we are. Bang average in the bottom league of professional football. Well over taken in terms of performance and stature by former non-league clubs like Cheltenham, Harrogate, Morecambe and Forest Green. How bloody bad is that?

    We need to employ people that can do a job and get the job done...then back them to the hilt with whatever funds are available with the one aim ....Promotion!
