It takes time to build a team. Simple. Our own history shows that, Jewell and Parkinson both took around half a season to get going and the former certainly had money

Wenger, Fergusson all maximised the talent they had, because they were allowed to have occasional periods of relative failure

But apparently we are supposed to have it all immediately, regardless of real things like injuries

Still not sure I follow. This is bowyers team, he signed most of them, and what goes it matter to playing style? He can tell any players to play a decent style of play, it doesn’t have to be a team he’s built over time.

    Do you think so?

Didn't work out when Hopkin took the reigns of a very attack minded squad. He failed to tighten up the defence.

I’m sure he’s capable of telling players to pass it short rather than hoofing it 100 metres.

So you are counting the 1/2 season (or whatever it was) when they first took over.. As such, in order to give a direct comparison you also have to consider what Bowyer did in League One when he took over - which I personally would suggest is harsh given the turmoil of last season.

Both PP & PJ guided us to promotion in their first full seasons, GB may ultimately do the same but I do think that the level of performance & tactics shown this season does give fans a reason to doubt whether this will be the case. You cannot blindly put your faith in GB to deliver citing such reasons as a way to support him. Peter Taylor (a lower league promotion specialist) came in and it was widely accepted that he would 'guarantee' promotion but with detriment to our playing style - how did that turn out?

Think if we lose on Saturday and are outside the play off places then Bowyer is toast!

I'll be amazed if Rupp and Rhodes are not putting a list of names together to maybe take over from Bowyer.

And agents will no doubt be making them aware of who’s available.

100% I just think being in the top 7 is the only thing keeping him in a job.

Plenty of managers would love to work with our squad.

When was the last time you posted a positive post with regards the club you're suppose to support.

I'd be amazed if you was correct.

Still can't get my head around how we've managed to recruit so badly on the management front again? Literally been handed a top 3 budget, the best strikers in the league and can't create any chances or get any goals in the side. He should be ashamed. He's a disgrace. Any forward thinking manager we would be comfortably on the same points if not more than Swindon. Just can't get my head around why he's making it so difficult when he's been backed financially. The board have played their part, when is he going to step up to the plate. We are sleepwalking into midtable mediocrity with him at the helm. What a waste of an opportunity this season has been. No side is there to fear this year but we've played with fear since August.

He certainly could do with a win on Saturday. Anything less and the knives will really be out. If he’s any sense he’ll sign the vocal hard man in midfield I keep harping on about. I’m not saying that would cure all ills but it would certainly help his cause.

We lose on Saturday we won't be in the top 7.

Everyone keeps saying we need to go up this season and as long as we go up that's all that counts. Well losing and not being in the top 7 will mean Rupp and Rhodes won't be able to risk Bowyer dropping us away from the top 3 even more.

The club isn't together.. the fans want Bowyer gone and if he was sack tomorrow don't think 90% of fans would care!

Rhodes would be foolish if he isn't looking about or thinking about our next manager that could unite the club again and take us up.

Your being a bit generous to Parkinson in not counting his first season which as he took over in 2011 September he had a lot longer than Bowyer. Parkinson also had a loan market available to him to build his side which of course Bowyer didn't have when he took over towards end of last season. If you remember Parkinson had a very mediocre first season from Sept 2011 to May 2012 which apart from the first 6/7 games was pretty much a full season. He was given massive abuse on the old claret and banter website as we just avoided relegation to non league. Comments like Plonkinson and he must be sacked before it's too late were often used but he turned it round.

Wonder who this great manager is who will unite the club and take us up. Please don't say McCall and remember other managers are available other than McCall .

Totally disagree and it’s a statement which totally goes against common sense. If we were 15th he’d be safe imo not that it makes it right. But Rhodes has a history of very lenient and Rupp doesn’t care he just doesn’t want to lose any more money, which paying off managers is a sure way to do it. You’re stuck with him get used to it.

My opinion is he should be sacked if we don’t at least get top 7 but I have no confidence he would be, try be realistic and not go with your own opinion as unless you stump up the cash you have no say.
