Sack the manager

If we can get to January still competing I will be happy. We are looking better each week. We all know a battling midfielder is required and hopefully we shall get one. Bin off Anderson/Akpan and onwards and upwards.

 

Bowyer himself has said it will take 2-3 transfer windows to sort the squad out, and he’s been saying this for months, so you’re only saying what he already knows.

 

What's promising, though, is that when Bowyer has changed something, it's generally improved.

The back line was altered massively, with three quarters being new. The defence is much improved. Even when Wood dropped back and the full backs were the same as last season, the defence has done pretty well since. Yes we have conceded more with Wood and Mellor at full back, but both have offered something going forward as a counterbalance.

The strike force has improved massively from the efforts of Doyle and Miller last season, even though the midfield is yet to show what it can really do now it, too, has been overhauled.

Connolly has the potential to be EXACTLY what we have lacked since Marshall left the club, Richards-Everton is EXACTLY what we have lacked since McArdle left the club, Vaughan is EXACTLY what we've lacked since Charlie Wyke left the club, and the balance is looking better and better with every player that achieves full match fitness.

A real shame about Devitt, but these things happen.

Our central midfield area remains an issue, Cooke and Palmer sort of reminds me of when we had Law and Furman in the middle, a loanee pairing that isn't bad, but not great either (for Law and Furman the balance was better, but VERY inexperienced, for Cooke and Palmer we should be good ON the ball, but weaker off it), but I put that down to Hope Akpan still being on the books, frankly.

We've done very well to get shut of Eoin Doyle, Nat Knight Percival, Sean Scannell, and a few others WITHOUT our own performances declining.

I can see him being sacked fairly soon. They have been bang average this season and from the sounds of it the team are not playing for him.

 

yes, almost like last season (and a couple prior) never happened. It's madness but symptomatic of the how modern society seems to operate. All Spurs fans need to do is "demand" at the same level as Liverpool or Man Citeh fans. Problem solved (At least that's what Fordy says, so it must be true.)

Watched most of their game against Brighton today and it did look that way, seemed to surrender without any fight.

 

In all seriousness @Keefly Bantam, there is something not right there but you'd think the turn around he's brought and the Champions league final might buy him extra time to sort things out. Or maybe his head has been turned by events elsewhere? Anyway, need to move this elsewhere.

Is there no way to lock this thread now..... I think it’s served it’s purpose and just encourages the likes of How and those on the other side of the fence to keep throwing mud at each other.

Have to agree with cougars, would rather this thread just die a death. It was started by a known WUM and was quite frankly ridiculous after only 6 games, the poster hasn’t been seen for a few weeks that tells you all you need to know.
