Sparks is at it again in the T&A. He doesn't speak for me or the fans. He's spouting his own opinions and promoting his own beliefs and using BCFC to do it. The club is a shambles Ryan so if I were you I'd concentrate on that.

Player liaison for starters

What will come out? Firing a player liaison officer isn’t unusual especially as we have no clue at what goes on at the football club as a business. It could be a number of different things. Ryan has said things are going to change and that there will be some serious changes. I’d imagine Laura leaving is just one of the many things that need shaking up.

 

Thats happens in all businesses. Never pleasant, but this club needs a complete shake up, top to bottom

Well it can't filled job specific now, likely be the part time job for the current secretary, not someone with experience of doing it

 

Maybe that’s all it takes. After the last year I’d imagine most clubs are tightening their belts.

 

It will be interesting to see what changes happen at the club. Sparks has already indicated that the playing budget will be reduced and with covid19 restrictions likely, potentially a further drop in season ticket sales, potentially a fall in ifollow monies, money will need to be used sensibly and with prudence? I'm sure I'm correct in saying that the £250k grant for league 2 clubs was a one off from the PL/EFL and the grants to lost attendances the same. Naturally this is going to put strain on the club and in fairness, something has to give.

With that in mind, I feel T&S are secure in the immediate future as it could be at a cost to dismiss and certainly, a cost to bring a new manager in. Talks of the calibre of Parkinson just seem beyond me, as such a manager will cost. Adams in contract at Morecambe, again further financial burden.
I feel the playing personnel turnover will occur but wide sweeping as some suggest.... Hmmmm not sure myself.

Players coming in may be similar to January in 4th division players coming on board with 'reserve' style players from leagues above. Maybe the non league may be an avenue? Maybe a seasoned Pro such as Wes Hoolahan?


Changes may need to occur but limitations will exist. If the above about redundancy have any truth, that suggests finances.

 

We were told that there are changes coming in the summer it’s probably a good idea to see what they are in the round before pre judging.

 

You can’t make a role redundant and then recruit someone to do the same job. You would have to recruit someone to do another role and liaison be part of that or as a part time only role.

 

Yes it’s the role that is made redundant hope the person affected gets another job quickly

 

I do hope the player liaison position is filled one way or another as its still a vital role for the modern footballer at all levels.
