I agree the bar was set very low and it wouldn't have been as impressive had we been a normal functioning club but that wasn't there with no back room support before. I'd argue bringing in a Turnbull, overseeing T&S, the form of the team and the sheer volume of transfer movement this window contributes to what I'd say has been a miraculous turn around, whether the bar was low or not it is still impressive in my eyes.

I'm not saying Ryan has succeeded because footballs a funny game and there's a load road ahead but I think I just think it's been a good period for the club, a much needed one.

There are plenty of things to be positive about at the moment 8 matches unbeaten a good transfer window at last players coming from our youth policy and getting into and staying in the team the youth team itself seems to have another set of good young footballers coming through as well. And we seemed admittedly by chance a really good management team. So let’s enjoy it

@BradfordBanter@BradfordBanter, sorry just completing some assessments. I think this reply is a fair appraisal of my thinking.

I want this forward momentum to continue but this rebuild is starting its journey and more needs to come.

True, but you can acknowledge the decisive action to turn it around and the successes made since those decisions were made. Ridding the club of Rahic was always going to be a big job, and in finally getting Rhodes out of the building we have (or seem to have) the right people in place to start the healing process.

Instead of being negative about everything, why not ease you mental health and try a bit of positivity.

In Fordy's world Jesus should have been able to feed more than 5000 with those 5 loaves and fish, a failure that Jesus chap in his eyes

Plus the fact that Sparks didn't get the position of CEO until late November the 25/26th I believe.

What bit of I like the direction we are heading in don't you understand?

My overall point is that Rhodes was so poor that what Ryan is doing is little baby steps but these steps needed doing years ago.

For years I said fans needed to wake up, so don't now act like Billy Big balls backs you finally understand the game on and off the pitch. Ryan is doing ok but nothing to shout out about yet.

LOTS to shout about. You just won't admit it.

    Two decent strikers signed
Club released it's five weakest players
Five wins out of 8 games
    Vast reduction in yellow cards
Fast and effective recruitment of players who were off the radar until signed
    Julian Rhodes gone
A playing system that means players in their natural or near natural position
Players don't look out on there feet after 60 minutes
Long term injuries reduced and clearing up

    Need I go on ?

Most of that has nothing to do with Ryan.

However, I ask you again. What bit of I like the direction of where the club is now going don't you understand?

Fordy . i said before, that you are down on everything the club does. You replied that you were not. I have seen little evidence of this if any in your posts since. We are a long way from being where we would all like the club to be, but this past two months have been a complete revelation and worlds apart from what has gone before, in the last few years.
So credit where its due and a lot of that must go to Mr Sparks, who as ceo is running the business on a day to day basis.

The constant sniping and blank refusal to give Sparks any credit for what has happened since McCall was sacked.

To me it seems like the worm has finally turned from the horror show of the past few years. There feels to be positivity, professionalism and determination about the club again more so than I can remember for a while. There's managers, players and staff who want to be here and who fans who are genuinely excited to watch them. Just feels like everyone is coming back together again and Its getting people excited.

Don't often agree with Fordy when I read his posts but in one aspect of it I do agree. Ryan has taken the first steps in getting us going again there's a way to go yet but solid foundations seem to be being being laid. I think he deserves a hell of alot of credit for what hes done so far and I actually like the way he goes about stuff. Seems to have that confidence to do what he thinks is right regardless of others doubts and it's working.
