How can you possibly be sure about that?

WWE staff famously had to run every single decision past Vince McMahon for decades. Nothing happened without his say so. That's a massive company, and all companies are different.

    Not rubbish at all.

Steve Bruce has just been asked about talking with Ashley. If Lampard gets sacked it will be by the owner!

Banks operate difference to football clubs.

You honestly think an owner won't have a say? Klopp is also talking about FSG and Pep always talks about Man City's owners.

Sign all they want. If the owner or owners say no then it's not happening.

Bruce is the manager not the CEO for one, and for two you are talking about who sacks the manager not who makes financial decisions. Banks do operate differently but the basic principle of what a CEO does is pretty much universal throughout business, apart from car washes obviously, where sure your CEO (Stefan, Slobodan or Bojan or whatever he is called) has to answer to you personally.

What on earth are you talking about.

What you bashing on about banks for?

Steve Bruce is the manager of Newcastle - Yes.
He is asked about if he has spoken with Ashley because Ashley owns the bloody club and if Bruce is sacked it will be by him. If Brue wants another player it will be Ashley that oks it.

If you think Sparks doesn't have to run things past Rupp then you are living on a cloud!

Do you believe in fairies as well ? In what world do you think Marina Granovskaia (Chelsea CEO) or Joseph DaGrosa (Newcastle CEO) run decisions like signing players past Abramhovich and Ashley. They have a budget and as long as that budget is kept to neither owners will have any input.

Stop basing your wild assumptions on the theory that all clubs are run the way Rahic ran us, although he was BOTH CEO and co-owner.

    Honestly don't be an idiot!

Willian was not allowed to stay at Chelsea not because Lampard didn't want him or because the CEO, or the Footbal director didn't want him it was because Abramhovich said we are not offering certain contracts over 30 years old.

If you think the owners just accept the CEO to sign things off and do a dance then you in cloud 9.

Ashley will sack Bruce not the CEO.

RACHIC WAS AN OWNER!! HE COULD AND CLEARLY DID WHAT HE WANTED BECAUSE HE COULD! RUPP WAS ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL!

That'll be why they signed 35 year old Thiago Silva in the summer then....

Think it's the contract length....3 years. No 3 year contracts for over 30's.

Silva signed on a year at first to a maximum of 2 years.

    Willian wanted 3-4 years.

And the ceo will have decided that. Get real, these are experienced business leaders. If they couldn't do their job because of owner interference they would be off to work elsewhere

It's not owners interference. It's running things past the person or people that own the club.

The owners decision is final not the CEO's

Why even bother with the extra expense of a CEO if the owner is making all the decisions?
Sparks will have a remit and a budget, as long as he works within those guidelines he will make the decisions, it's only when it is something outside of those guidelines that he would need to ask Rupp.

    We haven't. Hence hiring Sparks.

Joking aside. The Ceo will oversee whats happening at a club but the owner as bloody owner has the power to say yes or no. It's simple.

The Ceo will have regular conversations with the owner.

Quite obviously the owner has the power to say yes or no, the point is the owner will only get involved if it is something outside of the CEO's remit. I would also imagine that the CEO has weekly updates with the owner via Skype etc if not in person.

In a nutshell, no one is indispensable and all are at the Owners bidding, he will always be the last man standing. Policy will cascade down through the chain of command and each will be contracted to meet their individual targets. As PB said ,the agreed budgets will ultimately be those agreed with the Owner and subsequently form the CEO's remit. (imo)

Not about getting involved. The owner has the say. If the owner doesn't like what the CEO is saying then he will say no.
The owner will also say how he wants the club to be run.

    What is this? A Charity?
