Then more credit to them for backing Harris, if we did get there would Rupp be more likely to put his hand in his pocket if it takes £8m per season to establish your club in the Championship or would Rupp realising that ,make him more likely to sell the club and let others who have a better knowledge of what is required to take the reins, obviously we have to get there first but at least the people in control at Millwall gave Neil Harris that chance by providing him with a better team the following season, unlike Rupp & Rahic.

Throw in Stockport, MK Dons & Notts County and you would think our budget for next season would only be top 7 at best.Bronco likes this. -

Sparks says we can't compete with Wrexham, Salford or Gillingham though.
TBF to him he's got to try and get value for money on the signings. He's not going to come out and say we're loaded as every Agent will add another 0 on the end.Fordy117 likes this. -

The squad wasn't too far away from the automatic promotion places last season - seven points - which I think equates to not having Elliot Watt in midfield and losing Tyreik Wright from January.
If, as Ryan Sparkes intimates, we are only looking at bringing in half a dozen new faces, and we need to replace Crichlow, Banks, Clayton and Tyreik Wright just to bring the squad back up to last season's standard, it doesn't leave much wriggle room for improving the squad.
We need more pace in defence, more bite in midfield and attacking forwards/wingers who can score goals. It pretty much means that, to improve the team, every signing has to be bang on the money. Not every signing we made last season has been a hit (like Nevers and Costelloe) and it must be expected that not every signing this season will be a Harry Lewis.
If we are going to improve the team enough to be of automatic promotion quality I think we need to move on one or two of our contracted players (like Odusina and Young) who are unlikely to play a major role in any promotion push.Inspector likes this. -

We're in a very unusual position for Bradford City where we aren't trying to train an entire squad to play a specific brand of football. Any new players will be walking into a dressing room that has a good idea of what will be expected, and that will help.
However, yes, I'm not sure that alone will be enough considering we've lost a few good loan players.
We must improve in key areas, no question, with quality signings.vladimir likes this. -

It’s a few things for me but the main thing is money.
Ground - milstone round our necks cost a fortune.
Cheap tickets- raises expectations, players can’t handle it.
Ownership-they won’t invest, so we need the cheap tickets to pay for the ren, the playing budget and commercial revenue etc. However clearly isn’t enough to sustain a push financially and Rupp won’t put in anymore.
The circle will continue until we move or buy the ground and that saves us money -Never going to happen with Rupp. Ownership change (live in hope). Or what I think we should do is raise the prices- higher prices better product, better players with stronger mentality.
Would be less crowds but they would come back when success happens. It’s the only way I see us moving forward as Rupp won’t put anything in. -
Would be really interested in the former director Roger Owen thoughts on my points who I believe reads this forum.

Absolutely with you that I don’t trust sparks and long long long for the day Rupp is gone. The thing I don’t get is that he clearly wants his return back I understand that but he’s damaged this asset so maybe one day he’ll realise this was partly my fault and fall on his sword and In the politest way possible never comes back to VP. -
