Not sure because they're in league two they cant be classed as a big team IMO they will always be a big team, for the Papa John Trophy didn't they take most of the Midland Road side, they will fill it if we gave them enough tickets, that's of course if we drew then at Valley Parade.

Halifax or York would do me. A game with bit of local pride at stake. Rather that than somewhere I've got to get the A-Z out to see where the feck it is

However, it is recognised that the police / authorities may raise objections to a non-league club hosting certain Premier League / EFL clubs and, therefore, in exceptional circumstances, the rules allow for a game to be switched. However, clubs will not be allowed to gain financially from such a switch.
The rules state, that if the FA agrees that a switch is necessary, then "the first alternative ground shall be the nearest ground considered suitable by the local enforcing authority and/or Police (taking into account all relevant circumstances) subject to the agreement of the Professional Game Board."
Furthermore "For ties switched from the ground of the Club first drawn, then the Professional Game Board shall determine the financial conditions in which the tie shall be played and this may include, any excess receipts to be paid into the Pool."
A club that moves a match also faces the prospect of a ban from participating in the competition.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Damo likes this. -

The most ideal scenario for the club would be an away tie to a really lowly ranked non-league team. A bit like when we got Tonbridge Angels.
This would almost certainly guarantee us TV income, a passage through to the next round (prize money) and one match away from the 3rd round.Bantam-in-Greece likes this. -

I would guess someone like Wrexham as a non league club would find their way to TV so media could rub shoulders with TV stars. Until we get to Round 3 where Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are picked regardless of who or where they play, some thought process is involved in TV games early rounds.Bronco likes this. -

Only ourselves to blame if we don’t progress first time of asking.
