Conceded a couple of shots from distance in a trrribly poor team and all of a sudden became ‘shite’.
He was a perfectly competent L2 keeper.
Lewis also has his flaws, as does every keeper at this level.
(Before anyone fires shots, yes, I would much rather have Lewis)

Lewis is definitely better, his flaws are covered up by playing short all the time. His distribution would otherwise look really poor. Some communication issues, too, but nothing major. Very good keeper for this level, definitely capable of League One.

But ROD was fine in L2.

Fine is adequate Jon , nothing more. Lewis has been a step up to better than average and if it wasn’t for the two recent penalties, we would all be saying the signing of the season.

I thought ROD was dodgy tbh. But he was better than Hornby.

    3-1 to City.
    Cook
    Banks
    Walker

I think we will have learned our lesson from the home game.
That night was on a dodgy surface and we lost all sense of aggression and purpose to gift them a win.
They need 3 points, a draw being no good.
City on the break and 2 up by half time.

True, but they benefitted from the ref not factoring in the conditions on a couple of occasions. We could have had a pen and I thought it was harsh penalising Halliday given the wet pitch made tackling tough.
Had we got a pen and converted it, it becomes a different game at 2-0 IMO

We out played them on the worst part of the pitch first half and went into hibernation the second all in all the worst defeat of the season.

The problem I had was all the people on here claiming Horn(s)by was the better of the two thanks to a run of 6 or so games where he actually conceded similar or more on average.

There's a reason ROD has over 350 first team career appearances and there's a reason Sam Hornby, at 28, had never made a no.1 spot his own at a football league club.

Mind you, it'll be the same people who wanted Sattlemeir in because he was foreign and saved a couple of long range shots at Rochdale.

And that’s the problem when you have a split of people sitting anywhere they want and people scrutinising their tickets at 2.59pm

The away free for all isn’t new, every seated away ground I’ve been two the Stewards always say sit where you want in my experience. They don’t want the hassle of telling people where their seats are!
