Bowyers subs showed what he really thinks of the competition, ignore what his media persona says. Nothing more than getting some minutes into players.

 

Don't doubt what your saying for one minute but if you progress in any cup competition or should I say want to progress you need to win games of football to reach the more lucrative stages.
We don't have a squad capable of doing that based on this season's cup exits.
Put the same team out next Tuesday and it's cheerio FA Cup monies as well.

I was being generous. Meanwhile, we've got about ten midfielders, excluding wingers, most of whom are decidedly average. A bizarre imbalance in the squad which we urgently need to address in January.

 

There genuinely isn't a more lucrative stage of this crappy competition, and I personally wouldn't be attending Wembley in the event we made it there.

Quite pleased to see us out, don't care whatsoever, it will affect our momentum about as much as a behind-closed-doors-friendly.
