Absolute snore fest. Terrible performance and terrible result.

Team selection all wrong. Cook needs to start if he's fit enough because Angol is never a target man in a million years. Daly hung out to dry on his debut being played out of position. Why he was chosen to play LW over Angol and Vernam is anyone's guess. Threlkeld absolutely dire as usual and together with Gilliead, they must be one of the weakest right sides in the division.

Performance wise it was unbelievably disjointed and lacking in any sort of intensity and creativity. Hornby sitting on the ball at 0-0 instead of distributing the ball quickly said it all about Adams' approach to the game.

2.5k supporters, outnumbering the home side and he has us playing like the underdogs against a poor side. He isn't managing in front of 10 men and a dog at Morecambe anymore, when will he realise.

 

There was no shape or direction from the manager in the entire game. We get out passed by teams every week and the players look like they have no idea what the manager is trying to achieve. This is as bad as anything Bowyer served up and only a sending off last week saved us from yet another depressing defeat.
This lot have no chance of achieving anything as it currently stands. Another end of season clear out and another waste of a season.

Deary me.

 

Adams ability to make tactical/formation changes during a match that result in a positive outcome is absolutely woeful. He's awful.

All he does is react to what the other team does. It's time we set up to play to our strengths but Adams is way too stubborn to change.

 

I think this is the point Dave, the right decision has to be to look for a longer term manager as all the chopping and changing never really works and many of us thought Adams could be that person but so far results have been disappointing - more than that it's been the lack of football nouse that has got me and the fact his nature means he has built very little rapport with the fans and indeed the club.

A long term manager has to be the aim but Adams has,so far, not ticked enough of the essential boxes to feel he is the right man

 

Those 2500 City fans deserve better.

We had four defenders, Watt, Sutton, Walker, Daly and Gilliead in central midfield, and Angol up front. No width, no pattern, nothing. I'm flabbergasted that a professional football manager could send out a team like that. I've been very patient with Adams, and will wait to see where we are at the end of the window, but that patience is wearing very thin.

 

Like I care what you or any other poster on here thinks of me, when you have a few years SUPPORTING this club instead of constant bitching come back and your opinion might be more valid, now back to your beer or pipe.

 

Young kids coked up and drinking is a sad state of affairs. See it too often these days.

 

I'd have preferred him to start but in Adams I trust cough cough.
Not a bad day to bring 3 points home from Rochdale.

 

It wasn’t, but a flare (or smokebomb whatever they are) hit my daughter, probably aged six/seven at the time. Upset her, ruined her clothes etc…..
Moved away and left early and spoke to the police outside who basically said they were unaware of the level of problems and stewards and reported they were not in need of support from the police inside.
Both sets of fans were moronic, not helped by the stewards allowing home fans to throw things at the City fans which obviously escalated quickly.

 

What was disappointing was that until Angol pulled up with his injury Adams looked quite happy to leave it but when he brought Vernham on it looked like Adams had gone like for like.
No excuses today I can't understand all the changes take away the first 10 minutes and they looked lost and Adams has got to take the flak today, another great away following and let down once again.

 

The Players have no excuse as Adams quite clearly showed them his master game plan in detail

A point away at Rochdale is fine for this group of players, it’s been evident for months we aren’t good enough to go up one win and everyone seems to get carried away before the meltdown when normal service is resumed. I said when we beat Rochdale months ago enjoy it because this team is too inconsistent and lacking in quality to win on a regular basis.

Until Rupp goes we should be grateful for mid table league 2 as under him we are more than capable of going into non league.

 

Got to feel sorry for angol. That is probably career ending.

What a disjointed performance.Just seems that the players and the management have no chemistry between them and we once again appear clueless and leaderless.My optimism for this transfer window has all but evaporated and under Adams I cannot see a turn-a-round coming. Hope I'm wrong but the standard is really poor and for someone in position as THE all knowing one re promotion from this god forsaken league..well he doesn't seem to have a clue what he's about. Really fed up!
