Just the one question @fordy will you still attend next season if we are having a shocking season and looking like relegation candidates ?.
How will we possibly get through on Bantam Talk without your pearls of wisdom on all that is Bradford City and football in general ?.

Agree @Onside@Onside, we didn't do to badly under Julian Rhodes, Mark Lawn, Phil Parkinson, Dave Baldwin and James Mason when he took over from Dave Baldwin.
I'm not saying it was always harmonious like any family there would have been fall outs, but I'd suggest in that period it was very much like friends and family all doing their upmost to drive the club forward with it's financial limits.

From the noises coming out of VP now we’ve got that at the minute. Everyone is working hard to put it right. We don’t always need the same faces to do that

Only my opinion, he learnt from some poor mistakes but was very much a part of a good team before these clowns took over.

Glad everyone is working hard to but what they did wrong right.

Rupp - show Bowyer the money!!

Get footballing men in the club.

Get an identity back on and off the pitch.

Get rid of this people club and soft club image.

Lots of work to do at City. We need to move forward

I don't think anyone would disagree with your second comment, but I also think ths vast majority know realise who was to blame for the majority of decisions that were made.
We start next season no excuses new manager in charge, hopefully backed by our owner, a few of the no-show players are gone and we start a clean sheet.

We need to get rid of the LOSERS, @Fordy117@Fordy117 .......... That's not Rupp, Rhodes or the fans - Just the mentally weak players who have no fight or inclination to do better. So about a dozen players need to go. It's not an excuse, merely a genuine reason for why we are where we are.

On the note of that, unless I’ve missed it, is it only Bowyer signed up for next season so far?

Have we had an announcement on his backroom team? That was a silly mistake we made when Hopkin came in. Hope we don’t have a repeat of that

    WINNER

ALL Bowyer can do now is assess for next season, and begin his rebuild now. My own view is - City are broken, and GB is only running down the clock and trying to enforce damage limitation. The real time to judge GB will be justified about Christmas.

The main thing now is to plan for next season, We need to get rid of Drury and appoint another coach who is on the same wavelength as the manager along with a good fitness trainer which is essential,
We need to organise a professional pre season work up ready so that we are at full tilt from the first game, Both coaches and the manager need to install confidence in the players remaining in to a winning mentality along with the new players to bond them in to a side that will fight to the last to win on the field.

....but nothing knee jerk. Next season is NOT all about promotion like someone on here thinks, its about consolidation and rebuild. I think GB will have already said because of the size of the said rebuild it might be a step too far for an instant return. Personally i can't see us getting all the pieces right in one pre season

With the player turnover I can see it being a slow start. Can’t wait for the pandemonium on here when we are mid table come November

That is of course your opinion, mine is the opposite a play off is the least I would expect.
Gary Bowyer has had 11 games to see who and what this squad is capable of, he will know from past experiance what is required to get us into a play off position, I for one won't be happy with consolidation and I would hope neither would Bowyer, Rupp or Julian.

Agreed. He will have a complete knowledge of the players already here and as has been said he is drawing up a list of those he wants to recruit. Presumably this list will have a 1st choice/2nd choice/3rd choice etc. so we should be either at or virtually at full complement at the start of pre-season. That will also have been worked upon as from now as to who we play/when/ any bonding trips etc. so there should be no excuses whatsoever for the team not to hit the ground running from day one and that should mean being in/around the play off places from the start. Lets make it so that other teams look at the next fixture and think "bloody hell Bradford next, we are on to a hiding there."

The relegation spots are too close to call, any team from 13th onwards can go down.
Walsall and Wycombe and Accrington and Scunny were mid table.
    They aint anymore.

The uefa transfer windows may be changing the lower leagues with less teams of any quality and more average teams bunched together.
League 2 looks similar with outside the top 7 playoffs alot of mediocre teams and around 4 bad teams trying to stay in the league- with 3 of those teams Macc/Yeovil and Crawley what i would call ex-non league clubs.
The future for lower leagues is looking very dull, thanks uefa!

'Everybody is soft, no excuses, winning mentality, we are all losers' blah blah blah Fordy
But when it is suggested Bowyer does not want to keep many of the existing players, contracted or not, you make excuses that 16 of them are with us next year. Thank goodness GB seems determined to try and address this and move some of them on - no it wont be easy but isnt this the sort of postive mentality you are talking about the club needing?? Just saying
