    Credit where credit's due, this is the kind of signing we've needed - a level above, a captain, a leader, massively experienced, and in the middle of the park where games are won and lost.

    Plenty of attacking options, not satisfied with our defence yet, but a) there's time to improve it and b) If we're controlling games, the defence becomes less of an issue anyway.

    This won't have come cheap.

    In signings, this is a step up. Pretty sure the whole squad just got that bit better. We’ve been crying out for this kind of signing for nearly 10 years and he’s here now just in time to set the standard for preseason. This is a very impressive statement.

    Well that’s the majority in place and we even out of June ............. I hope the club don’t forget the tradition of bringing in a journeyman striker with stats of one goal every 10 games to appease right moaning twats like me .......... if this doesn’t happen then I’m right back in the Rupp out thread
