To be fair even Alan Biggs the journalist alluded to the fact that keepers are rarely captains. R O'D is by far the loudest voice in what is a very quiet side though so can see why the choice was made.

 

Trouble is Fordy there aren’t many like him left, look at other captains at this level personality is dying in football. A GK isn’t the norm but you need someone who leads by example, and ROD does probably more than anyone else in that squad. Just the way it is.
