With our record for keeping players fit it was a big mistake for both parties

I'm struggling to see why Foulds has been kept on. The lad has barely played.

Good news, just offering contracts to the kids and Hornby then. Foulds is an interesting one, he barely got a chance since signing in January

The only one I might have kept on out of that list was AOC but if he’s one of the higher earners then I understand why we’ve got rid. Is he the last of the Edin era signings that was on the books?
We have zero strikers at the minute. Gonna be some overhaul this summer.Storck and 1975citygent like this. -
Not too fussed at the list of those released. The two stand out ones are obviously O'Connor & Wood who I'm sure will do well elsewhere but have been a constant during the sh*tshow of the past few years. Suspect Wood has been ready to move on for a while anyway. With O'Connor, centre back is an area where we can improve and with Canavan, Paudie, Staunton & Sikora there it makes sense for him to move on and bring one more in to try and improve that area of the squad.
Did wonder if there might be a role for Donaldson or Novak as a back up striker but suspect they'll want games. Busy summer ahead!Inspector and The Evidence like this. -

Non will be missed Novak did well but he was injured in o much this year and is knocking on, Wood a year ago if you’d have said I’ll be glad to get shut I’ve had called for the men in white coats. His head and heart weren’t as in it this season imo.

Back to the Rahic era. Retained list announced with no manager in post. Might as well forget about a manager and just let Sparks and turnball get on with it. Could get Collins back to do a spot of coaching.

I think Wood and OConnor can leave here with there heads held high despite what some people might say. I believe in a underachieving team they have given their best and have been reasonably consistent. I think they both will find new clubs and in Woods case it might be in the league above

He is very pally with Vaughan and Vaughan has been 'mentoring' him on how to manage his career! When I heard that when SMc was still in charge, I feared the worst for Wood. It comes as no surprise that he hasn't been offered a new deal at VP.WilsdenBantam and Stoneski like this. -

Infact if you look at Man Utd outside those we poached from the likes of Real and Barca's academy or those who have been at the top of the u23's and have been part of the 1st team training squad and have recently signed new deals most are in the £600-1500 range and United are a club that pays at all levels way more than Leicester. So while Riley who was around the first-team squad and did play a couple of times was able to demand a rumoured £3k a week , Wood who was nowhere near the first-team training squad and was poached from Chesham United (And as someone who lived under an hour away from Chesham and have a friend from there I can tell you Chesham United aren't a big club that pays big wages so Leicester wasn't going to have to pay him much to sign for them) was never going to be able to demand anywhere near that.Stop hovering to collapse... Wood’s contract has expired, maybe he told the club doesn’t want to sign a new one, which given how he has played wouldn’t surprise me.
He’s one of the biggest earners and we can do better for less money.
He’s not kicked on from that early promise, has played nearly 200 games and is 25 in July.
He isn’t that good we need to break the bank for him.
He’s a hangover from the Rahic years.
Maybe a change of scenery will do City and Wood a favour.shoatsy and The Evidence like this.
