I'm not so sure the likes of Scannell will get a club that easily. he's on a wedge, under contract, even if he's offered for nothing, who's taking him?

a championship club aint gonna want someone that's just got relegated from League 1.
how many League 1 clubs will A) be able to afford his wages, or B) even want him given what the money could possibly get them elsewhere.

Doyle's scoring record might get him a league 1 move, if we're lucky. not so sure on Wright, if there were no takers in January I don't know why there'd be any 6 months later. we'd have to pay him off.

They are not the norm but they could be added in section 14 which is where I’m guessing the Colin Doyle £1 clause was

We have to assume that those under contract are with us next season no matter what league we inhabit. It is just fantasy to assume we can magically get rid of them without someone putting their hand in their considerable fat wallets.

I cannot contemplate league 2 atm, I know we are probably heading there, but it nearly drove me to distraction last time.

Like everyone else I am hoping that somebody at the club is going to tell us what happens next. That probably won’t happen until or if we are numerical down. League 2 is no place for faint hearted owners that is for sure. Investment is stretching the term, it will take some considerable funding to get us out of this hole we have been plunged into. It will require a strong bank account and an even stronger resolution to keep going. The structure of our club also needs building, as it is in a sorry mess atm. We cannot carry on the manager merry go round either. We need to appoint a manager, not a bloody coach a proper manager, who knows league1/2 like the back of his hand, and knows what it takes to get us promoted. It would be nice to leap back into league 1 if we get relegated, but common sense tells me that many repairs need to be undertaken so we are able to make that progression without looking over our shoulder.

When Rupp and Rahic took over this club, we were in a healthy state. Yes we needed investment in the structure and playing side to make the next leap up. So it is truly shattering to contemplate what has happened since. What struck me the most is the speed they dismantled what we had and replace it with this sorry mess. You never go in and start dismantling what has been successful even if you think it can be done better, because it takes time. Trying to achieve instant success very rarely happens, you have to build. Rupp was astonished at the way managers come and go in football so he clearly knew, you can’t just keep sacking them.

So here we are on the brink of relegation and a disheartened playing squad, with no plan in sight. A truly miserable place to be. Yes ppl will find other things to do on Saturday afternoons, but it will not be the same as watching City. I am nearly always optimistic, so I am still hoping against hope the players can find it in themselves to rally round and give of their best in one last push to see us over the red line.

    Let's look at this abjectly.

IF we stay up, we are stuck with all the full time crap that is already here, so we are merely delaying the inevitable. Who in their right mind (fans) wants a second season of crap ?

SO ...... IF we go down (probably) ......We can at least hope some of the wasters will 'throw themselves' out of the nearest window, and feck off, by their own means.

So yes, a valid question ........... Relegation or Survival ? Which, in the immediate term would we benefit from, and also recognise the most damaging scenario ? Both are are equal, in terms of damage, IMO. Sponsors and backers are no mugs, and will already be looking at our situation.

Herr Rupp may well back us next season, but thereafter ? Perish the thought ..............

5 wins from 8 would probably be enough. I'd back the December Bradford City to get that.

Sadly, we seem to be stuck with the August to November and January onwards Bradford City. In that case we will be lucky to get 5 points from those 8 matches.

5 wins from 8 matches is bordering on play off form we are nowhere near that
7 points is the maximum I could see us getting
Home to Wimbledon as the last match could be very interesting for all sorts of reasons
