Look at the success that Town have had. They employed a coach with no previous experience. The difference being, he coached the 1st teams at his previous clubs and worked under a Head Coach. They didn’t just sign the u23 coach with 1yr experience at that level to his name.

Just because Rangers, Derby and Fleetwood have done this, doesn’t mean it’s the correct route.

Well my first thoughts today when I saw the news was it's a very underwhelming appointment but thinking about things i've got to say what experience did Kamara have and he took us to Wembley and a promotion.
What about the lack of coaching Jewell had and he took us to the PL.
You can go further back with Cherry and Dolan and they did well didn't they.
Now apart from Parkinson what proven manager have we had that's done that?
Jefferies was a joke and the Lennie Lawrence and Docherty era was just as bad.
Dare I also mention Peter Taylor and his reign at the helm.
We are where we are because we seemingly couldn't attract a 'big' name for whatever reason (Edin's template) so we are now in unknown territory again, let's hope this fellow is a Jewell.

I have to say the meltdown from mouth breathers within our support base is quite amusing. They will have forgotten about this appointment in a few days though and will move on to something else to complain about!

I'll be converted with something factual, problem is nobody's got anything - because the facts arguably support the owners point far more than those wanting a 'name' - who apparently should be left alone to sign whoever they want, spend whatever they want and pay whatever they want

I'm sure he doesn't want to take us back there. But he hasn't got a clue what he's doing and his reckless acts could lead us back there.

 

For starters his ‘sensible facts’ missed some key parts. For example, none of those mentioned were just coaches being dictated to. Jewell worked as assistant to Kamara before getting his break and delivered the training.

Nearly all those promoted to manager status had some senior coaching experience. And I’m not talking 12mths working with the Dev Squad.

 

Look, I had this out with you last Wednesday. Provide evidence to back up your claim that I moan about EVERYTHING.

If you want, you can ask me directly for my views on each aspect and I’ll answer honestly. For example, I like the idea of a development squad and was disappointed it got descoped under Lawn. I was pleased the owners took the task of sorting out the pitch once and for all. I was happy with most of the signings in the last 2yrs and those being allowed to leave. Yes, we made some mistakes with incoming and outgoings, but so does most clubs.

I wouldn’t say I am negative about everything at all. But then, your ‘headline’ wouldn’t be as controversial would it....!
