Well I've held off renewing my ST until I knew who was in charge, sure many others have too but not sure I'm up for a season with a nobody appointment.

 

And?

 

How do you know neither are good enough? On name alone, I concede - but he may well be tactically astute, good motivator, man manager etc.

I would rather appoint an unknown than a failure who has 'experience'

Have I said it is? If I was a Rangers or Derby fan, I’d be just as annoyed. But as my club is City and not one of the other two, I really don’t give a frig as to who they have appointed.

But more to the point, have either Lampard or Gerrard been successful yet in their new roles? No (admittedly they have only just started in their roles), so let’s leave off the comparisons until we have something to compare...!

 

You called us a laughing stock - but other clubs are opting for fresh ideas over the tired, tried and tested. This is no different and I doubt anybody outside Bradford really gives a frig about what we are doing.

This is nothing new fella, a number of clubs have gone down this route for years.

 

Look at the success that Town have had. They employed a coach with no previous experience. The difference being, he coached the 1st teams at his previous clubs and worked under a Head Coach. They didn’t just sign the u23 coach with 1yr experience at that level to his name.

Just because Rangers, Derby and Fleetwood have done this, doesn’t mean it’s the correct route.

Besides, are they part of an Edin led ‘coaching team’? We aren’t going to agree fella, so I’ll leave you to your impressions of a seal instead.

I have to say the meltdown from mouth breathers within our support base is quite amusing. They will have forgotten about this appointment in a few days though and will move on to something else to complain about!

And what a mixed job these 'managers' did!! Arguably the most successful one, was controlled by Richmond. The other rescued us from L2 - but then when you to make the next move, maybe having a good old fashioned 'manager' isn't the only answer

It's hilarious that you are given facts, that show's appointing someone experience for us has actually only worked once in 40+ years, yet you still ignore them to try and convince us about how terrible Edin is

I'll be converted with something factual, problem is nobody's got anything - because the facts arguably support the owners point far more than those wanting a 'name' - who apparently should be left alone to sign whoever they want, spend whatever they want and pay whatever they want

For starters his ‘sensible facts’ missed some key parts. For example, none of those mentioned were just coaches being dictated to. Jewell worked as assistant to Kamara before getting his break and delivered the training.

Nearly all those promoted to manager status had some senior coaching experience. And I’m not talking 12mths working with the Dev Squad.

 

Jewell did get the big pot of Rhodes family cash to spend millions on getting a team capable of promotion to the Premiership.

 

Did Jewell pick who was bought? Wasn't that one of the reasons he said afterwards that Richmond just bought players?

 

Which shows he didn’t have a say in every transfer.

 

Yes. I’d argue that Richmond had never heard of the likes of Regtop, Edinho. Sundgot, Sas, Steiner et al.

 

Kamara chose McGinley, Richmond wanted Wayne Allison who went on to do well at Town.
