DRM = Digital Rights Management. It's basically a catch-all term for any anti-piracy methods. You know how like back in the day if you took a commercial VHS and tried using two VHS recorders to copy it to a blank tape it would record but the image would be scrambled. That was an analog anti-piracy feature called Macrovision which was built into VHS players and would send a signal out which if another VHS in the chain saw the signal it would scramble the image.

Now that things are all digital there use way more powerful anti-piracy methods to control what you can do with media because its much easier to copy a digital file. It can limit where you can play something, it can stop it playing if it detects certain software running, it can send out signals that legit software will read and scramble like with Macrovision and it can even poison the hooks so all recording software will only be able to pick up a black square and not the footage


OBS = Open Broadcaster Software. It allows you to build scenes of things like overlays and video captures and then either stream that out on places like Twitch or record it. Its the software most Twitch streamers use and most YouTubers who are doing letsplay videos will use to capture the gameplay footage (as I did with my Better than Bowyer series)

Depending on what DRM they have running OBS should be able to capture and record it
