Ratings killed C&B at times, the ‘like’ only aspect on here is infinitely better as it promotes debate should someone disagree as they have to say why and in turn avoids the childish and unbelievably petty crap that plagued the old site. Please don’t try turn this place into C&B part 2 when it’s a very very good board as it is. *Totally pointless ‘Cheers’ emoji*

 

Nonsense. Having ratings causes less arguments. It's less confrontational to give someone a 'poop' than it is to personally call them on their bullshit and tell them they're talking shit. This site is no better or worse than C & B when it comes to petty arguments, ratings or not.

Get your tech man to add in an option where folk can switch off their ratings if they don't want to be pooped/disagreed with for whatever reason. Ed did it in C & B. That way everyone gets their wish.

 

The same posters will still have the petty arguments, it's already all over the board if you take time to read the threads. It has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a cartoon emoji.

 

Some folks can't wait to stir the pot.

It's fine as it is by me but by all means have a disagree rating but why the need for poops when a simple disagree will suffice.

 

Some people need to know they’re talking shit.

Most people don’t want to get into a never ending debate with Bronco, Cougars or Park about some inconsequential rubbish. Just a click of a rating and move on, and if you feel strongly about the subject, give a reply....The encouraging debate argument is a load of rubbish, some posters just don’t like to be told they are wrong.

 

So just a disagree rating would do as @Klaatu is suggesting or put said poster on ignore, but unfortunatly in many cases its the poster rather than the post, some never want to let the past go and make it obvious to anyone who has been posting on this and previous sites so obvious.

 

I get it now, you just wouldn’t be able to trust yourself...Didn’t you once get your ratings disabled, after you went on a poop frenzy, once you’d come back from a “permanent” ban?

 

As I posted some just cant let the past go, thanks for proving my point.
