Fair point, Valley Parade has been neglected for a while now but would the fans have given up a winning team? Its a tough call, football club ownership is not for the faint hearted. It can soon become a money pit without you realising it.

Valley parade would cost a fortune to purchase back from Gibbs pension fund now and for what really. Nothing can be done with it that can’t be done whilst it’s being rented

Because the owners would prefer to shop at John street market than regent street

I hope so, I like him, he shows promise, he needs to find consistency, and a permanent slot in the team,

Genuine answer, I’ve no idea as have you. You’re assuming it was down to finances and that we went for the cheap option but with a substantial outlay and wages on top, I’d suggest that wasn’t the case.

Genuine question, how do you know they weren’t signed because Abbott actually rates these boys?

Great promise? He had a good six months scoring 6 or 7 free kicks. Get real

I don't. It's a worrying thought if they were anywhere near the top of the list.

Everyone would love to shop at Waitrose but for the majority it's just too expensive.

He's already admitted we are weaker than last season. I doubt he went actively looking for players who he deems inferior if the budget allowed us to do otherwise.

They fit the model the club are trying to implement, something they wouldn't depreciate, something to coach into something better.
Perfect illustration of how they (Rahic and Greg) don't know what they're doing.
    Talent spotters hahahaha

Didn’t he say he wants to get the manager sorted before he goes on holiday? When is that? What’s it been now, almost a month? Very worried that we’re going to have a Jan transfer window situation again. Seems to me, the potentials they may have had ready before the Grayson meeting have already said no.

Need to get the manager sorted asap, or we’ll end up missing out on signing up players.

Can’t for the life of me believe that they don’t know the reason why ppl are saying no.

    Gotta change tack. Quickly.

Didn’t talks start a few weeks before he resigned tho?
Or maybe time feels like it’s dragging on longer than it really is.
Hope the new grass doesn’t take as long to grow, as the current one under their feet ;)

Talks will have been with Grayson obviously.

There is no grass - there re-doing the pitch.

Kids break up on Friday for a week. Sounds like if it isn't this week then it will be a month.

Like everyone else, I am frustrated by our recruitment over the past year but if the playing conditions are not right, it is pointless buying anyone who can actually play. If it means our advancement progresses more slowly

    Yeah deffo
It seems they have a good plan and aim to have us in the championship within 5 years

    Let’s see what happens

I think if we can get some young hungry league 2 players and aim for play offs each year 1 season we will hit the jackpot and return to the championship

We will just have to get behind the team as fans.
We’ve seen dark times over the past 20 years
Atleast were not in the bottom 4 of league 2 like when Taylor was in charge

Bit late to the party but finally listened to the interview. Once again it reiterated that people really need to stop looking for trouble and stop looking for reasons to dislike the owners. Rahic seems to genuinely want to progress the club, his motives may be different to ours, but there was nothing he said that made me think his intentions were bad or worthy of concern from the fans.

It also became abundantly clear that he has no intention of being a manager/head coach and that he is just a chairmen who will be involved in important decisions, which is fair enough in my opinion. Once again it shows that so much of the negative stuff you hear about him (e.g. Luke Hendrie, wanting to be be Manager, etc.) is utter rubbish and highlights this agenda of a group of fans to try and oust the owners.

Overall I liked the openness of the interview and I liked the fact we have an owner who is proactive and instigated an interview like this to keep the fans informed. This is something that isn’t available to most fans and we’re lucky to have such in depth access to the owners. It’s also a shame that the interview was more about dispelling rumours and trying to calm irate fans down rather than talking about plans for the summer and once again highlights the need for fans to stop the rumour spreading and negativity and accept that the owners are here for a while, they have a plan to achieve their goals and we need to support them and hope it works.
