Other than a reshuffle what has been done though? I can’t see all these new medical staff, and we still bring in injury prone players like Angol. Since Parkinson left we’ve made the same mistakes regardless of who’s been in charge and what days they have trained.

I’m not sure you’d see the backroom staff on a match day but maybe down at training during the week. It’s frustrating that we seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, but wouldn’t you say that’s a sign of how far we’ve fallen that we don’t / didn’t have the resources to do full background checks on players. We were so desperate to sign anyone that we’d take risks which have massively backfired. My hope, is that with the scouts onboard and increased staff in the background, we can do as much homework before approaching any potential signings. Unless you’re a Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd etc, you won’t have the financial muscle, medical expertise or capabilities to take a gamble on a player with a dodgy knee and tissue hamstrings.

It’s not great but it’s a fact of life. There are a lot of football clubs out there and it doesn’t seem like there are enough “good” owners to go around (certainly not at our level). So an owner that keeps us solvent and, moving forward I’m hoping he keeps us competitive, is about as good as we can get.

What is the alternative? Hound him out and pray another owner turns up who is better?

 

Rupp gets a lot of criticism and I agree he could take a gamble with his resources and give the player budget a boost,but there’s not many owners who do that. We talk of wanting this player and that player in the coming January window yet if it was still Lawn and Rhodes in charge they’d be crapping themselves now and a fire sale. With Warnock leaving Boro today now is the right time for Stuart IMO. They could resurrect the successful partnership they had at Sheffield United. The fans aren't taking to Adams because there was only 3,200 there, I don't know how you come to that conclusion, the first round of the FA Cup is renowned for poor attendances.
