And end up getting arrested with a possible charge/ banning order ? No thanks. This kind of protest would get very ugly, and would also bring back very bad memories for people who ended up on the pitch after the fire.

Its no good posting on here , if you are not willing to actually do some thing, that is peaceful, not illegal and will get noticed by the press etc. The silence will speak a thousand words.Lancaster Bantam, Ponty City, JudgeMental and 2 others like this. -

Turning up at someone's home is completely wrong. Sparks doesn't stay away from games, he's not very visible but he's fairly easy to track down on matchdays where any major protest can take place.
The coffin idea has been done before and would get some coverage you would think. Rocking up at someone house and scaring their family who have nothing to do with this will quite rightly see you get your collar felt.Citymatt, Onside, WilsdenBantam and 2 others like this. -
Every idea gets Vetoed! So we end up doing nothing and we fall into national league next season with a whimper. If we going to go down which is a strong possibility with short funds I’d rather go down fighting. As a collective we need to just go for it, they will be some disgruntled fans but if it all pays off I’m sure that will be forgotten about. I’m expecting it to take time there is similarities with us and Blackpool and the oysters refusing to budge. But in the long term it’s worth the fight.

There are ways to protest peacefully &get your points across
1,Email the ticket office tell them your not renewing your season ticket until change at the top
2,protest outside the main stand before each home game(ML will have to park somewhere else) do not obstruct turnstiles or hamper sponsors going in
But chant for change at the top
3,protest inside the ground with banners & chanting for change
4,then back outside the main stand until all have gone home
5, you will have broken no laws you are not obstructing people from going in or out of the ground entering the field of play or ground regulations
That is a start those who wish to renew can do so without hinderenceSilverbantam, QCFC BANTAM, Parader and 2 others like this. -

I've been looking for my old SOS - Save Our Stuart - card from the demonstration at a home game around 2010 when ML was rumoured to be sacking SMc. At some agreed point during the game, we were expected to stand up brandishing the cards as support for SMc
If I can find it, I'm now intending to 'repurpose' it - 'Sod Off Sparks'!RCarol, Stevay_b, Manningham bantam and 2 others like this. -
I will go, not sure what good it will do. if any.
You would like to think it would at least make Ryan Sparks come out with some sort of statement, but i believe he has his head buried so far up his own behind, he has forgotten what day light is.

anyone who renews is endorsing his work and Rupp’s stewardship.
people attend in groups. You see from posts on here. When one fan doesn’t renew, neither do their partner, or friends or family. Thousands of fed up fans. We won’t get more than 10k now IMO.
Whatever it takes to get Rupp and Sparks out, I’m all for it. If the club goes bust and we start again away from VP, let it happen.SteveC, JudgeMental, WIBSEY GAWBER and 2 others like this. -

We need to remember (Fordy in particular) that this isn’t the French Revolution, we can’t force people to think as we do. If WW thinks they are doing an acceptable job he is allowed that opinion, let’s not target posters. He was poor imo to like the comment from Loyal that he did and I found it unprofessional, but what’s done is done and he doesn’t need tagging every two minutes, his insights are still more valuable than a lot of posts on here, so just let him have his opinion even if you don’t like it.

The desperate statement changes nothing.

Still got to happen. Can't let a fairly waffling statement with all the key parts just copied and pasted from his Rahic statement, change the thinking.
If anything, a protest is MORE important after the statement. As Rupp needs to see he can't just kick the can down the road with his words, he needs to be held accountable for action.QCFC BANTAM, Fordy117, Keefly Bantam and 2 others like this. -

Here's the link to Simon Parker's latest piece.....
Bantams owner Stefan Rupp talking is a step forward for fans | Bradford Telegraph and Argus (thetelegraphandargus.co.uk)
Maybe it needed the season to suddenly fall off a cliff or the criticism to grow in volume and anger.
Maybe it needed talk of a protest before tomorrow’s game from fed-up fans.
It seems it certainly needed Ryan Sparks to hop on a plane to pin the man down in his own backyard.
But 24 hours on from those summit talks in Germany, we have an open letter from Stefan Rupp.
City’s owner has finally broken his self-imposed silence and issued a “mea culpa” to supporters.
Some were quick to point out that Rupp had issued a similar “I’m sorry, it won’t happen again” statement in the wake of the Edin Rahic trainwreck.
But this time is different, there are actual targets mentioned rather than just vague platitudes and promises.
Supporters have a checklist to see if Rupp’s big words translate into actions: the pledge to communicate a lot more, an increased budget, the strengthening of the football department, the desire of buying back Valley Parade.
It has made the chairman accountable – and that surely indicates progress from where we were standing this time yesterday.
Rupp has a long way to go to restore any faith in his leadership. A glance at the corresponding league tables from season one to now confirm how far the club have fallen in that time.
But there is substance to suggest that Rupp will take a more active interest. He has no choice.
If he ultimately wants to get out and sell, the product must be worth buying and currently that is way, way short of the sort of price he would be after.
Rupp finally saw that for himself when he took in the Mansfield mauling – his first visit to Valley Parade since pre-season.
The sullen face hidden beneath a red motor-racing cap could not have been further removed from the smiles and hugs for Sparks after the Carlisle play-off first leg last May.
But it still needed Sparks to demand yesterday’s meeting in Munich to hammer every point across and leave Rupp in absolutely no doubt how much has to improve.
Sparks has copped the criticism for both of them in the owner’s continued absence.
As the abuse rained down on the chief executive at Harrogate, he must have wondered if it was all worth the hassle.
In Sparks’ shoes, would you put up with the constant slagging while the man at the top sits miles away oblivious to it all?
Maybe the conversation in Germany went along the lines of “you ship up or I’ll ship out”.
Whatever, it seems to have brought Rupp to his senses.
Of course, fanciful talk will always be cheap. “Fine words butter no parsnips” as someone put so succinctly on X. It’s actions that we need to see – and now we wait for City’s owner to deliver.
Nobody is talking about a Rupp resurrection just yet, but his Easter message represents the very start.
There remains an awfully long way to go.
