You certainly do have a right to your opinion when it relates to an issue impacting on our club. But that right doesn't extend to criticising, explicitly or otherwise, those posters whose opinion on those issues sre different to your own. Stick to the issue and resist having a go at other posters.

Well run clubs tend not to be dragged from the brink of the championship to midtable in league 2 ............. and if we are well run as you say then why as our owner said he needs to step up and do more ???????

I bet you did :) maybe next you should hold a protest that will back this current regime which have done such a good job :( from the brink of the championship to midtable in the khazi league but hey we aint losing money though :) fook is that your narrative now ????? As the club drops further down the ladder and continues to lose thousands of fans we can still claim to be sustainable.

So while four clubs leave this summer into a bright world we can brag about being a sustainable club .......... i bet the likes of Wrexham,Mansfield and Stockport look at us with envy dont they ????

I bet as Mansfield beat us 5-1 there fans trudged of into the night wishing for a 12th place finish and being sustainable :)

Easter programme should have seen a 18k crowd against Tranmere and a complete sellout at Grimsby ..........what did we get a 8k???? crowd against Tranmere and pay on the day at Grimsby .

Still you and others mock the protesters if things do change in a big way then its down to them while you sat back and did nothing

Honestly, how many City fans were at VP today. A very senior steward told me there was c500 protesters(counted on request of the club by all accounts)
I'm guessing around 7k of city supporters turned up today. So that's around 9% of the support base that protested.

Completely agree mate, I'm lucky enough to have had a taste of the premiership and seen championship/old league 1 football in my time following this club but this last generation of fans hasn't. I really don't want this next generation to sit through season after season of utter failure, I'm not like some on here who follow blindly no matter what the weather, i want a club that is a forward thinking and progressive form the sake of that next generation of fans.

Because he hasn't already backed up previous letters and has already lost trust, that's why.

As a direct result of the protest the owner, who you clearly adore, has come out and apologised for neglecting the club and has said he will now inject money into the club on the playing side.

The timing of his open letter was noticeable.

No need to thank the protesters m8. We did it for fans like you who are just happy to have a club to support.

Please stop showing yourself up! I get it you don’t support the protest, but lots do. I didn’t go to the protest yesterday but fully support it. I was one of the thousands who didn’t turn up.

I suspect you're right and there's no reason why a typical fan watching their team on the putch should care about that. But those responsible for the running of a football club which has aspirations to develop and progress should understood all of that without exception. I couldn't use the phrases 'well run' or having 'a business like' approach on any business whose leaders ignore the fundamentals.

In Rupp's case, I put it down to him having little interest in the club other than for the books to balance and to stay in the EFL. In Sparks' case I put it down to him simply meeting his boss' objectives and being out of his depth as a CEO with little experience in running a busness. If nothing else comes out of the protest, at least there appears to be some promised change in Rupp's approach towards the club. We'll have to wait to see how genuine that is.

We aint ralking about him throwing millions and millions at it we are talking about him running the damn thing right.

We have the most season ticket sales at this level cheap or not it will still dwarf most clubs at this level.

Our Shirt sales must dwarf near on every club at this level

Our sponsorship must be a lot more than every club at this level apart from Wrexham

Our catering deals yet again should dwarf every club at this level.

So please for the love of god do we continue to bumble along ???? Ryan Sparks and Gent to folk who continue to blow decent budgets on bog standard players.

You sorr the Sparks and Gent issue out and your gonna give yourself a big chance and hopefully now that penny has dropped with Rupp.

Still let the loons come out and mock the protests even though that protest may have actually forced a big change and may have actually changed the direction of the club.

Hopefully a few years down the line we are higher up the league and the folk who have stood up for change have helped to make that happen.

Absolutely no chance. One of the millions of tourists wanting tickets would snap them up.

Man Utd could potentially fill the ground with day trippers, they absolutely don't need season ticket holders.

Several. Fan protests stopped the European Super League venture.

Liverpool fans protested against the club's ownership by American businessmen Tom Hicks and George Gillett. The protests eventually led to the owners selling the club to new owners, Fenway Sports Group.

In 2019, Arsenal fans protested against the club's owner, Stan Kroenke, over his involvement in a hunting channel in the US. The fans organized a petition and a social media campaign, asking the club to cut ties with Kroenke. The protests led to the club's decision to distance itself from the channel and to Kroenke's son, Josh, taking a more prominent role in running the club.

    I've nabbed this quote:
'Protest is positive. Protest should not be glossed or dismissed – even protest people on the news can package up as unacceptable. Protest will not always be well behaved. Sometimes incoherence is the only reasonable answer to an unreasonable situation.'

There's a difference between peaceful yet disruptive, and violent protest.

Oh I can. He doesn't believe its his fault, and will almost certainly be acting out of self interest. He's never getting another CEO job in a million years.

100%. The protests should be in or around the stadium.

I wasn't gonna go but my lad wants to go for the shits and giggles. Could get messy what with folk trying to get into the main stand although with the numbers at the last game it might not be that big a problem. Will be interesting to see how many turn up, I personally will be there as things have gone past the point of no return. Well, unless something dramatic happens this week which I doubt.
We can't have no happy clapping now until things change, Rupp really needs to understand the feeling of anger about what's happened over the last 6 seasons. Wins till the end of the season mean nothing now. All effort should be made to make the owner necessitate change.

He does speak well and that was a pretty considered response that showed understanding about the level of dissatisfaction that the fans of the club are feeling.

They disappeared in 2013-2015 too and guess what when progress stalled it came back with vengeance.

We can't keep ignoring our structural issues, if we want long term success. Now is a watershed moment for us, we are at, or near the bottom. So let's start rebuilding a club that can last another 120 years rather than just bobbling along.
