I think he should get a run in the cup game tmrw. Then GA can assess him. Tbh, the amount of goals we leak, he musn’t be up to much if MH, McD, Truman and now GA aren’t picking him.

I'm surprised you aren't still blaming BFG with that kind of mindset.

I don’t want to let it sink in! The protests are just that, we need time ourselves as fans to think things through as to what might be the best way of showing our discontent at the mess our club seems to be in.

I wonder what, or which personnel has changed. (I don't, but it's fun pointing it out).

It's a difficult one. I was discussing this yesterday with Bronco and we both felt the same way, that we aren't happy about the situation but aren't sure what sort of positive effect throwing tennis balls on the pitch would have? The players know they aren't performing, Gilliead admitted so after the game Saturday.

I think he has a turn of pace from the bits I've seen. For me, the single biggest reason our defence has fallen off a cliff this season is the loss of Crichlow. His pace made a huge difference. Right now, whoever we play at CB has the turning circle of an artic lorry. Throw into the mix that GA wants us to play a higher line, and a lack of real quality in midfield, and we're easy pickings.

People need to be careful - throwing an object onto the pitch can land you with a ban from attending games. And I agree - the protest needs to be focused on the Rupp and Sparks, not the players.

Just follow Blackpool's lead with the "not another penny" campaign as I mentioned in the blackout thread. It's simple, everyone can do it and it would be hugely effective I would think.

Rupp has his vision of being a self-sustaining club and not having to dip into his own pocket to help the club develop. Sparks is doing a good job in delivering if for his boss. But I doubt very much that that approach will continue to be supported by the fans. (That's a bit of an understatement). Our playing budget for this season is slightly less than what we spent 4 years ago and have done since then. That means that our playing budget has fallen in real terms over this period. That doesn't suggest for one moment that we are a club with genuine ambitions to get out of this division despite what Sparks might say. How we reached this position and what we are spending all the extra commercial income on defeats me.

On the basis that there usn't a new owner waiting in the wings, it's a change of mindset from Rupp and/or Sparks which is needed. I have my doubts that a load of tennis balls arriving on the pitch will do that. It may well disrupt the game ahd perhaps raise the profile of the fans' discontent but I don't imagine that will result in Rupp changing course. I doubt very much that it would help Sparks to grow a pair of his own!

What does Rupp really care about? His own money. If a protest is to be successful and change his mindset, it has to hit him in his pocket. That's where it will hurt him and his CEO. To have a serious impact, that approach would have to be reflected in lower attendance levels and ultimately on future ST sales. We could all start tomorrow night in a small way by swerving the EFL Trophy game

The players are not to blame for where we are. Yes they are struggling at the moment and it's easy to blame them. Like any team that wants to be successful you need all stars to align and have all the tools available to gain that success. As it stands we.dont have that.

“ START to Panic” . That made me laugh out loud . You made my day there Jon .

Please please don’t think or even suggest anyone supports Rupps cessation of additional funding of the club to foster a promotion push. That’s missing the point completely .

This shit show wasn’t organised by Rupp and Sparks , it was properly set out by MH and Stephen Gents poor player identification and recruitment. Square pegs round holes, spring to mind.

Many say Sparks is doing the owners bidding. They are spot on and he’s doing it properly, yet still delivered a decent top four/ six player budget ( we believe).

Clearly the owner isn’t going to try and spend his way out of the League aka Stockport, Wrexham Mansfield and Salford. We know that, we have to get over it. Until the RIGHT buyer comes along we both agree we are where we are. Not having a club in a financial mess is a start!

Demonstrations of the proposed kind are well meaning of course, but pointless against the intended target…the owner. .

I repeat, being pragmatic does not mean supporting the circumstances, rather applying common sense at the right time for the RIGHT reasons.

In what way would it be a leaving present? The contract was extended by way of a public vote of confidence, it’s also been said since (by Sparks himself) there was no increased severance package off the back of this.

At this moment of time Mr Tart, I would love to be judged on the pitch at the same level of Watford who are two divisions better off than us, mid table and winning 5nil in the last game played.

Highly effective it would be on the January transfer budget

Perhaps Park is not Mrs Sparks afterall but Ryan is his lovechild - shudder the thought!

Just put an 's' at the front and back of his name and you have Sparks anyway, just saying .....

Tomkinson is on international duty and USA U23s play tomorrow so he won't be back with us until Thursday at the earliest.
