A blackout during war, or in preparation for an expected war, is the practice of collectively minimizing outdoor light, including upwardly directed (or reflected) light.

    ----

This midwinter we wear black, nothing but black, in protest at our ridiculous, embarrassing, and completely avoidable situation.

Remaining home league games this calendar year:

    Accrington, Nov 25
    Salford, Dec 9
    Morecambe Dec 26
    Stockport Dec 29

There's no pride or honour in wearing our colours at this point.

Not until there is something to cheer.

Sparks and Rupp haven't the first clue.

When they leave, we have our club back: and our colours.

    Agree?
    Disagree?

Posters to be made upon agreement and as required.

This isn't hyperbole: This is our darkest hour.

    BCAFC: City 'til we die.

Really feel like a tide has turned so many people now questioning the club not your typical kids, long-standing fans who care very deeply.

see some groups talking about tennis balls, for me the worry is what this affects on the pitch we need points to keep away from a dog fight. These weak minded players wouldn’t think twice about trotting that out as excuse.

Fully support this idea hope more do and it would be great to get the local press aware and WOAP, TCA etc c. Even the public threat of action might be enough.

Would it not be better to just stay away and boycott for one match , Show them what it could be like if things dont change

Apologies Jon as it's great your trying to get something going but why would Rupp care about us not wearing colours?

The only way to do this is similar to Blackpool's "not another penny" campaign.

We don't need an original idea, it just needs to be effective.

Agree with this. It doesn't hurt the club because they already have the money but if people stay away with the threat of it being more permanent next year it may open eyes.

I'd say pick a game, do a mass walk out at a chosen time and dont return until changes have happened.

An empty Valley Parade will gain media attention too because we are known for our crowd's.

Tennis Balls is a risk because the club could easily twist it to make it look like a public disorder issue.

Boycott, with the threat of moving on to Not A Penny More next year.

    Enough to do what precisely?

Rupp can afford to completely ignore tennis balls, black shirts et al. It wouldn’t embarrass him in the slightest and a mere tax loss in the pocket of a business account. Around 6% if his combined assets at the most, equivalent to losing three two pence pieces for every pound in your pocket . Think about it.

Threats of any kind normally and should have the opposite reaction to that intended, so what is your desired outcome on that basis?

He won’t sack Sparks, why would he, he’s doing a great job following the owners brief.
He won’t sell the club no more than I’d sell some of my assets just because BantamJ or anyone else says so.

Unless one knows what is the desired outcome. ……????

Explaining would be an advantage as a means to enable the pragmatic to understand the intended outcome …until then I don’t.

When you’ve all finished chucking your tennis balls is there actually a new owner waiting in the wings? A bit pointless when there’s almost certainly nobody out there actually prepared to make a reasonable bid. No point hoping Rupp will accept a derisory offer from some local consortium who probably couldn’t make us any better anyway. Great if some billionaires are waiting in the wings but if they’re out there can someone say if they exist and not just make things up like Norman Corner poster.

You keep saying the club is small change to him, Kev, 6% of his assets or whatever…..if its that insignificant why is he still hanging around when nobody wants him here?

why’s he holding out for an inflated figure and trying to profit from the clubs sale?

he put his trust in a madman, who wasted his money. The club will be here long after he’s finally fecked off. The sooner it happens, the better.

he’s out of his depth and won’t pay to fund a DoF.

he needs to lower his asking price for a quick sale.

we’re in a relegation battle, fighting for survival, it’s reached crisis point.

    feck off Rupp

We are not privy to specifics as fans so good luck waiting for hard proof of bids. These things arent made public a lot of the time. We know there have been interested parties on the grapevine who have had offers rebuffed, though.

Anyway, the next man doesn’t need to be a billionaire. He just needs to give a shit and get involved in the running without leaving sparks to his own devices. We need someone who understands football.

Lawn and Rhodes weren’t rich but they took calculated risks. We enjoyed a golden period at the club until the Germans landed.

Our absent owner never planned to get involved, i get that, but he’s never really replaced Edin has he. Might have promoted Sparks from his other role but he’s not added the football expertise we needed, nor sought permanent advice from permanent consultants once Rhodes had finished grooming Sparks.

Partly true but Lawn and Rhodes had 5 years of misery comparable to this season before they struck lucky by getting Parkinson introduced to them by Ian Dennis of BBC. Then they got lucky again with cup runs, something we’ve been denied since 2015. Had we been beaten at Notts county in the first round of the league cup- don’t forget their striker missed a sitter in injury time- the Rhodes and Lawn golden period would have looked different.

How 's about rainbow coloured leotards..

Or better still giving the team and new manager 100% backing through this sticky time. Maybe with a bit of success we'll be a far more attracted propersition to purchase

I wasn't at Notts County but plenty were and for some reason they booed at half time.

    Should they have supported better?

Just don't turn up, no point in a walk out. I think boycotting home games is reasonable enough, it'll obviously be quite shocking when 7000 rock up instead of the usual 15k+.

Maybe attend away games only? That way no distractions on the pitch with tennis balls etc, no hiding behind attendance figures whilst ignoring everyone dressed in black, and the club can embarrassingly announce another 15k+ attendance with pictures of a 1/3rd full stadium.

I think it's the best way to not ruin the teams performances which could make a relegation battle more realistic.

You tell me things I already know, don’t fall down the rabbit hole that some hard of thinking believe that I am somehow defending him because I ain’t.

His net worth in 2018 was reported as being £100,000,000 , so the £6m him and the batshit idiot
“ invested” , like it or not is small beer worst case scenario to him. You won’t persuade me otherwise , if he spends more brilliant, but don’t be surprised if he doesn’t if recent history is repeated.

Someone among the City supporters complained when we went 1-0 down within 4 minutes, this angered the football gods who exclaimed "just get behind the lads ffs!", they then saw it fit to punish the City fans with a further 3 goals before halftime for this misstep.
