Thats absolute rubbish tbf. You go find a taker for someone like Riley or Wright on the money theyre on. The more crap we can shift, the higher we'll most likely finish. If we're hamstrung by the fact nobody wants our players then I don't think thats down to Bowyer, it's down to the idiot that signed them on massive contracts in the first place.

 

So the fact that NO team in the last 6yrs has finished bottom and then gained promotion the following season means nothing?

Irrespective of the reason, the squad we had last season was so poor, it finished rock bottom. And in case it has escaped your attention, some of the better performers were loanees have gone, leaving us with the players that were gash.

And yet, you still think we should be smashing L2 next season. As I said before..... you’re deluded..!!!!

 

Should have saved time and just looked at last seasons table. Bottom Bury 36 points, promoted this season.

 

Anything but promotion I’d say is failure.

Play offs are not a guarentee but I’m not sure many would be complaining if we won at Wembley to get promotion like last time in league two

 

Parkinson knew he had taken us as far as he could, as soon as Bolton, a bigger club, showed interest he was off. Had McCall had the right backing from a chairman with any sort of football nous i'd also argue we would have had avery good chance of bettering the result in the playoff final that eluded Parkinson.

I’m not having a dig, but it’s an amazing coincidence to have so many poor players on high wages. Most players are signed on merit, and decent quality players usually command decent wages for their respective level. This was the calibre of player we signed.

Not one player last season played remotely well all campaign - yet another coincidence.

I apologise if I’m coming across a bit strong, but on paper, we have a very good squad at L1 level, never mind L2.

I trust GB to get things right this season, but he also must be thinking he has a great platform to build from. It may sound strange given this season’s relegation; but there was far too many things going wrong around the club, on and off the field, last season for the players to really stand a chance. Toxic in the stands from the off, really.

I’m trying my best not to stick up for the players because they have underperformed, but when you have seasoned professionals who we successfully beat many clubs to their signatures, it tells you a lot about the quality they bring and what they have achieved.

I think far too much impetus has been put on Rahic - even now - and yes, he was/is a bit of a donkey. But I’ll be man enough to to say that I was truly overjoyed with our recruitment in the summer, as were lots of others.

I keep saying it; hindsight is such a wonderful thing.

 

League 2 is actually the easiest to get out of, there are more promotion places up for grabs than any of the other leagues.

I've voted for what I am demanding Top Three minimum and auto promotion. Anything less is abject failure and that includes making the play offs !. There is no other club in the Dog n Duck league bigger than City; are we seriously going to play second fiddle to blooming Smallford Shity ? errr as a matter of fact yes ?

 

It's a side that couldn't beat any of Macclesfield, Oldham, or Aldershot.

I suppose it's feasible that 15th could be considered quite optimistic, considering the best players were on loan or short term contracts and have now left.

 

Mk dons were stuck with their shite from a relegated season and got straight back. No excuse imo

Odsal is a shit hole that should have been filled in decades ago.
I’d never go back there unless it was to a brand new stadium with modern facilities.

The fans will respond to a team on the pitch that put the effort in/take pride in the shirt regardless of the level of skill something sadly missing last season
It is imperative we get rid of the "deadwood" which is where Mr Rupp needs to keep to
his utterings of funding the club out of trouble
Also essential is the acquiring of new players I hope GB has one eye on a team to maintain L1 status as well as a promotion winning side
This summer will very much determine the future of our club we will know by the end of July what sort of a season it will be. Bradford City now have a potential fan base instead of an actual fan base

The Rugby league are as skint as Bradford council are, they certainly won’t be developing Odsal .

 

again depends. If we're starting with players like Riley etc or cant recruit properly because they wont leave I would be happy with mid table/playoffs with a view to releasing any remaining crap at the end of the season and having a proper crack at the autos next year with a full team bowyers built himself. That isn't a lack of ambition because I would love it if we smashed L2, just realistic about how bad the players are and what it takes to build a successful team. Demanding things and shouting really loud doesn't achieve anything it just makes us look like spoilt children.

 

No point in trying to debate with Fordy and the likes. They are deluded and think that by stamping their feet and demanding success, this means we are guaranteed success. No real rationale behind their views other than ‘we are a big club’. But they can’t explain what a ‘big club’ actually is.

And if you dare to challenge their views, it means to lack ambition. Bubbleheads the lot of them...!
